The festive season is approaching and many car buyers are looking forward to the new launches that are expected to hit the Indian market in September 2023. Several car makers, including Honda, Tata, Toyota, Volvo and more, have announced their plans to introduce new models or facelifts of their existing ones. Here are some of the most anticipated

Honda Elevate is a compact SUV that was globally unveiled by the Japanese automaker earlier this year. It is based on the Honda City platform and is expected to compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and others in the segment.
The Honda Elevate will feature a sleek and sporty design, with LED headlamps, DRLs, fog lamps, alloy wheels and roof rails. The interior will offer a spacious and premium cabin, with a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, sunroof, automatic climate control and more.
The Honda Elevate will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that will produce 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. It will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The Honda Elevate is expected to be launched on September 4, 2023, with an estimated price range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 17 lakh.
Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling SUVs in India, known for its safety, performance and features. The homegrown automaker is planning to launch a facelifted version of the Nexon in September 2023, with some cosmetic and mechanical updates. The Tata Nexon Facelift will sport a new front grille, bumper, headlamps and fog lamps, giving it a more aggressive and modern look.
The rear will also get some tweaks, such as new LED tail lamps and a revised bumper. The interior will remain largely unchanged, except for some new colour options and upholstery. The Tata Nexon Facelift will continue to offer two engine options: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 110 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.
Both engines will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The Tata Nexon Facelift will also get an electric variant, which will have a range of 312 km on a single charge. The Tata Nexon Facelift is expected to be launched on September 14, 2023, with an estimated price range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.
Toyota Rumion is a compact MPV that is based on the Toyota Yaris platform. It is already sold in some international markets as the Toyota Roomy or the Daihatsu Thor. The Toyota Rumion is expected to make its debut in India in September 2023, as a rival to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Marazzo and Renault Triber.
The Toyota Rumion will offer a spacious and versatile cabin, with three rows of seats that can accommodate up to seven passengers. The interior will also feature a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and more.
The Toyota Rumion will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that will produce 98 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. It will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The Toyota Rumion is expected to be launched on September 15, 2023, with an estimated price range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.
Volvo C40 Recharge is an all-electric crossover that is based on the Volvo XC40 Recharge platform. It is the second EV from the Swedish brand in India, after the Volvo XC40 Recharge that was launched last year. The Volvo C40 Recharge will have a sleek and futuristic design, with a coupe-like roofline, LED headlamps and tail lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof.
The interior will offer a luxurious and eco-friendly cabin, with leather-free upholstery, recycled materials, a touchscreen infotainment system with Google services, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging and more.
The Volvo C40 Recharge will be powered by a dual-motor setup that will produce 408 PS of power and 660 Nm of torque. It will have a battery capacity of 69 kWh that will provide a range of around 400 km on a single charge. It will also support fast charging that will enable it to charge from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes. The Volvo C40 Recharge is expected to be launched on September 18, 2023, with an estimated price range of Rs 60 lakh to Rs 65 lakh4.
