The new TVS Ronin colour options will leave you spoilt for choice with 6 shades to choose from, and the 225cc Ronin variants are available in 3 trims across TVS dealerships in India.
The new Ronin design & style:
The TVS premium motorcycle segment has a new 225cc bike named Ronin - which in Japanese culture means a Samurai without a master. Hence, this new TVS bike doesn't really fit into any particular motorcycle category, so TVS calls it the #unscripted bike.
The Ronin is designed to look like a mixture of a cruiser and a scrambler, so is the case in terms of the functionality of the bike, spec-wise.
TVS Ronin Colors:The all-new Ronin colours are in Dawn Orange, Delta Blue, Galactic Grey, Lightning Black, Magma Red, and Stargaze Black shade options.
TVS Ronin price in India:
TVS offers its new bike in three trims priced from Rs 1.49 lakh for Ronin SS, Rs 1.56 lakh for Ronin DS and Rs 1.69 lakh for Ronin TD (ex-showroom, India). The Ronin on-road price starts at Rs 1,71,618 (ex-showroom, Delhi). A reasonable pricing for a 225cc cruiser is majorly to keep an aggressive competitive price and to attract more customers especially young riders.
The new Ronin Variants:
The new TVS cruiser cum scrambler model is available in 3 versions - the Ronin SS is the base variant, mid-variant Ronin DS priced Rs 1,79,869 and the top-spec Ronin TD priced Rs 1,93,345 (ex-showroom, Delhi) - available in select TVS dealerships all over India starting from July 2022.
TVS Ronin Features:
The feature list has TVS Smart Xonnect Bluetooth-enabler smartphone connectivity, custom window notification, digital cluster, dual-channel ABS, incoming call alert, voice assist, and a special series of TVS merchandise and bespoke accessories and a special experience program.
The Ronin motorcycle also gets 9 spoke alloy wheels, asymmetric speedometer, block tread tyres, LED lamps, and a T-shaped pilot lamp.
The 225cc Ronin BS6 Engine:The new 225cc BS6 motor on TVS Ronin churns out 20 BHP of max power and 19.93 Nm of peak torque, tuned to a 5-speed gearbox. The Ronin top-speed is claimed at 120 km per hour.
Ronin Bike Fuel:The TVS Ronin’s fuel capacity is about 14.1 litres and the bike weighs 160 kilos.
TVS Ronin Hardware:The all-new TVS Ronin rides on a double-cradle frame body and 17 inch alloy wheels wrapped in TVS Remora tires, paired with 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes tuned with ABS mechanism. The Ronin suspension system comprises of 41mm Showa USD forks at the front and 7-step adjustable gas-charged mono-shock at the rear.
The new TVS Ronin seat height of 795mm makes it an easy two-wheeler for short riders.
TVS Ronin Competition:The TVS cruiser cum scrambler bike is on sale in India, and the Ronin rivals the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Yezdi Scrambler motorcycles.
According to Mr Sudarshan Venu, the Managing Director of TVS Motor Company “The TVS RONIN bike is developed from an empty canvas to be a reflection of the fast, fluidic, and multi-faceted young biker of today. It is conceptualised and built to make an effortless and ‘unscripted’ journey experience. TVS offers advanced technology and connectivity.”
As per Mr Vimal Sumbly, the Head of Business at TVS Premium Segment, “Biking at the international stage is changing. It is shifting from offering a functional objective to allowing freedom, self-expression, and the will to explore. Inspired by our buyers’ need to cover ‘unscripted’ rides, the TVS RONIN will create a new category influenced by an upcoming lifestyle devoid of legacy burden, outdated norms, and stereotypes.”
