MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) or MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) is a vehicle that is shaped like a van and can be used to ferry passengers and cargo as it has a good seating space along with great storage capacity.

MUV

Typically, a Multi-Purpose Vehicle/Multi Utility Vehicle has seating arrangement that consists of 2 to 3 rows and can accommodate 6 to 8 passengers. In addition to that, it has a flexible interior space which can be adjusted according to the requirement.

The first MUV of India, Toyota Qualis, was launched in the 2000 in India and it was a great success. But it had a very boxy design and soon started looking outdated. It was discontinued from the market in 2005, in order to make way for a more modern vehicle. It was replaced by Innova as it looked more contemporary.
