The old-school bike Kawasaki Z99RS comes back with exciting features and new looks.

The Z900RS Reborn: A Classic Bike with Modern Upgrades

The Kawasaki Z900RS is a retro-style motorcycle that pays homage to the original Z1 from the 1970s. It features a classic design with a round headlight, sculpted fuel tank, and a long, flat seat. However, it's not just about the vintage aesthetics as the Z900 RS boasts modern features and performance upgrades. the Kawasaki Z900 RS is a unique blend of old-school design and modern engineering. It's a bike that's sure to turn heads wherever it goes while also offering a comfortable and enjoyable riding experience.

Z900 RS: ENGINE AND INFO

The 948cc inline-four engine's buttery smoothness and output of 111PS and 98.5Nm—14PS and 0.1Nm less than the Kawasaki Z900—promise a very relaxed riding experience. Retro styling that is so stunning it hurts the eyes and complements the engine. With the massive USD, broader rear tyre, and a larger inline-four, the Z900RS looks a notch better than the Z650RS. The dual pod instrument cluster further enhances the bike's classic styling with an integrated multi-function LCD console. Nonetheless, smartphone connectivity is still unavailable.

BRAKES AND WEIGHT

At the front, there are two 300mm discs, and at the back, there is one 250mm disc. Radial callipers are an exciting addition to the Z900RS that the sportier Z900 curiously does not have. The seat is a little on the lofty side at 835mm, and its kerb weight of 215 kg is also a little on the high side

COLOUR OPTIONS

Two additional paint colours are now offered for the Japanese retro-style roadster:

  • Candy Tone Blue
  • Metallic Diablo Black

PRICE DETAILS

No matter how nice the bike looks, Kawasaki will have a hard time selling the Z900RS at its asking price of Rs 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is especially true given that the Triumph Bonneville T100, the original big-capacity retro-style roadster, sells for as little as Rs 9.69 lakh. Heck, even the Triumph Speed Twin 1200, a legitimately fast neo-retro motorcycle costs less at Rs 11.09 lakh (both ex-showroom).

Are you happy with the comeback of the classic bike from Kawasaki? What are your thoughts about the new features? Let us know in the comments below.
