Tata Motors Unveils Refreshed Nexon EV: Sleeker, Smarter, and More Powerful
Tata Motors has just launched an updated version of its popular electric SUV, the Nexon EV. With prices starting at ₹14.74 lakh (ex-showroom), this refreshed model offers a range of improvements, making it an exciting option for eco-conscious drivers.
The 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift boasts a brand-new design, taking inspiration from the Tata Curvv concept. It stands out with a distinct air dam and a full-width LED light bar that sets it apart from its gasoline-powered counterpart. You can choose from a palette of seven vibrant exterior colours.
Step inside the cabin, and you'll find an array of upgrades. Two massive screens, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster provide a premium feel. Additional features include steering-mounted paddle shifters, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, wireless smartphone charging, voice commands, adjustable and ventilated front seats, an air purifier, a JBL audio system with a subwoofer, and a sunroof.
When it comes to safety, the Nexon EV facelift has you covered. It now includes six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard. Front and rear parking sensors, an electronic parking brake, hill ascent and descent control, and rear disc brakes add extra layers of protection.
Under the hood, the Nexon EV facelift packs a new Gen 2 motor that's 20 kg lighter than its predecessor. This upgrade results in an impressive range of up to 465 km on a single charge for the Long Range variant. It delivers 143 bhp of peak power and 215 Nm of maximum torque. The facelifted model boasts subtle power output increases and slightly reduced torque compared to its predecessor.
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.9 seconds, and you can choose from three driving modes: City, Eco, and Sport. Thanks to improved aerodynamics, the vehicle offers better performance.
Tata offers an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery and motor of the new Nexon EV. This reassurance ensures peace of mind for EV owners.
The Nexon EV facelift introduces Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) technologies, allowing the car to power electrical appliances and even charge other electric vehicles. This innovation makes it a versatile choice for various needs.
With its sleek design, enhanced features, improved powertrain, and advanced safety measures, the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift is set to raise the bar for electric SUVs in India. This eco-friendly option is a smart and stylish choice for drivers looking to embrace the future of mobility.
