Gadkari noted that the National Vehicle Scrappage Policy was initiated to upgrade the circular economy by making an ecosystem for eliminating gradually unfit and polluting vehicles and to achieve a less carbon footprint in the company by substituting them with more fuel efficient and greener vehicles.

Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, said, “The inauguration of this RVSF heralds a new beginning in responsible scrapping of end-of-life vehicles.”

According to him, the company aims to maximize the value of the scrap for future use and minimize waste for the benefit of everyone by using globally benchmarked and optimised recycling procedures.
