Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its updated 2025 lineup that includes the Gixxer series and V-Strom SX models, which are now in line with the new OBD-2B emission norms. This update will not only see the company abide by government regulations but also get some fresh colors to make them look more appealing. Here is everything you need to know about these exciting new offerings.
The updated motorcycles include:
They have mounted newer engines complying to the tougher standards of OBD-2B, which also offer lower emission for better environment-related performance. The Managing Director at Suzuki Motorcycle India Kenichi Umeda commented: "The company is complying with the stringent regulatory norms coming through the Government through the introduction of OBD-2B compliant motorcycles. These motorcycles shall feature performance through these products."
The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 has a strong four-stroke, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is 249 cc in displacement. The 26.1 bhp produced at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of torque at 7,300 rpm are quite laudable. The powertrain is coupled with a smooth 6-speed transmission that gives a ride that is sporty.
In 2025, the V-Strom SX will be offered in three brand-new colors:
The updated pricing for the V-Strom SX is ₹2.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), an attractive proposition for adventure enthusiasts who are looking for a reliable and stylish touring motorcycle.
Gixxer, as well as Gixxer SF 155, had also received enormous updates. It comes with a 155 cc single cylinder and generates 13.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is accompanied by the 5-speed gearbox for smooth power delivery in urban commutes and spirited rides.
The new three color options for Gixxer series were,
The Gixxer is priced at ₹1.38 lakh, and the Gixxer SF at ₹1.47 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
The Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 retain its performance with the updated engine putting out 26.1 bhp at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of torque at 7,300 rpm—the same as the V-Strom SX. Both are accompanied by a 6-speed transmission to add some sportiness.
They come with a lot of high-tech elements:
The Gixxer series introduces three new colors as well:
Gixxer's price begins at ₹1.98 lakh, while the Gixxer SF begins from ₹2.07 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
Suzuki Motorcycle India is taking a significant step towards sustainability while not compromising on performance or style with the introduction of OBD-2B compliant engines across its popular models. The updated Gixxer series and V-Strom SX are a perfect blend of cutting-edge technology, aesthetic appeal, and competitive pricing.
As consumers become increasingly conscious of choosing eco-friendly products in their purchases, Suzuki is well positioned for the new emerging motorcycle market as it adheres to stringent emission norms. Interested parties can check on local Suzuki dealerships or through online portals to get further details on the new models and schedules for test rides.
This update is the most comprehensive that Suzuki has done in the two-wheeler segment, continuing innovation while staying on top of environmental standards for both riders and the planet.
