Suzuki has introduced their newest trim for their recently launched petrol scooter, Suzuki Avenis 125. The sporty scooter rivals the TVS NTorq 125 and Yamaha Ray ZR.
The Japanese auto giant, Suzuki Motors Corporation is well renowned in the 2 wheeler global market. With a wide range of Scooters and Motorcycles in different segments they have a fair share of market in India. In petrol scooters segment the company has been able to rank Suzuki Access 125 as the 3rd best seller in 2021. And to rival the 4th best seller TVS NTorq, they launched Suzuki Avenis 125 in late 2021.The brands has not revealed the sales numbers of Suzuki Avenis yet but claims that the response they are getting from customers is positive and demand is also high.Now they have introduced a new standard trim for Avenis 125 which will be Rs 200 less than the previous base trim. Prior to this, they launched Ride connect edition and Race edition.
Suzuki Avenis 125 is equipped with LED lights on headlamp and taillights, an external fuel tank lid and a large under seat storage. In terms of Engine specifications and performance, the sporty Suzuki Avenis comes with a 125cc engine combined with fuel injection technology. The engine generates a max power of 8.7 PS and torque peaks at 10nm. And the light weight of this scooter allows it to be easily manoeuvred.
Post launch of this scooter, there has been a monthly growth in the sales figures of Suzuki 2 wheelers. It is estimated that a significant part of this month on month growth accounts to Suzuki Avenis. The base trim is launched to provide more options for the customers in India. Currently, Avenis 125 is rivalling the likes of TVS NTorq, Yamaha Ray ZR and Honda Grazia. All these performance scooters have are high in demand majorly because of their easy riding experience whilst delivering power and speed.
October 2023: Electric Two-Wheeler Sales Hit 71K, 10-Month Total Reaches 688K.
During the festival month, there was a boom in electric 2-wheeler sales in October 2023. Around 71,000 electric scooters were sold during this period.
