The new KTM Duke 390 is set to release with updated features including a revised appearance, adjustable front forks, and engine upgrades.

Sneak peek at the new KTM Duke 390 - LED lights and alloy wheels on display

The KTM Duke 390 is popular in India due to its powerful engine, sleek design, and affordability. It is a top choice for young riders and bike enthusiasts.

The upcoming KTM 390 Duke has been seen in a production-ready form, suggesting that it will be released in the following months. The last significant update to the bike was in 2017 when the BS4 model was introduced.

The new version will include a new color option, more noticeable bodywork, and updated cycle components as part of its evolutionary progression.

New KTM Duke 390

The new generation KTM 390 Duke will have a revised appearance with a fresh color scheme inspired by the larger 1290 Super Duke R. The addition of a blue hue adds to the bike's dynamic profile. The production-ready version of the upcoming KTM 390 Duke has been sighted, hinting at its release in the near future. The last significant revamp of the bike was in 2017 with the introduction of the BS4 model.

The next phase of the bike's development includes an updated color scheme, more noticeable bodywork, and upgraded cycle components.

Color options

The production-ready version of the upcoming KTM 390 Duke has been sighted, hinting at its release in the near future. The last significant revamp of the bike was in 2017 with the introduction of the BS4 model.

The next phase of the bike's development includes an updated color scheme, more noticeable bodywork, and upgraded cycle components.

Features and more

The new KTM 390 Duke features a slimmer LED headlight design at the front without any plastic coverings seen on the current model. It also comes with new switchgear and a TFT dashboard, which suggests the possible addition of an IMU for features such as traction control and cornering ABS. The bike also boasts a modified swingarm, an updated taillight, and orange alloy wheels.

The fuel tank and tank extensions of the new KTM 390 Duke have been redesigned to create a more muscular appearance and sensation. The tank extensions now have cutouts and updated grooves, which may help to enhance both engine cooling and aerodynamics. As a result of the fuel tank design modifications, the fuel storage capacity could potentially be altered, with the current KTM 390 Duke able to accommodate up to 13.4 liters of fuel.

Engine and performance upgrades

Several updates are noticeable in the new KTM 390 Duke, including a redesigned engine casing and modified exhaust routing. The coolant reservoir has been relocated, and an O2 sensor is now located on the exhaust header pipe. It is unknown at this time whether the bike's engine will be given a performance boost or have a higher displacement. Currently, the KTM 390 Duke has a 373.27 cc liquid-cooled engine that generates 43.5 PS of maximum power and 37 Nm of peak torque.

One of the notable updates to the new KTM 390 Duke is the adjustable front forks, which is indicated by the presence of adjusters on the fork caps. However, it is possible that this feature may only be available for export markets. KTM produces smaller-capacity bikes in India for both domestic and international markets, and adjustable front suspension may be offered as an optional feature for the new 390 Duke in India.

The next-generation 390 Duke features an offset monoshock suspension that could potentially be adjusted for rebound and preload, similar to what is already available on the existing RC 390. Additionally, the braking system has been updated in the new 390 Duke, with the disc and caliper now mounted on the right-hand side instead of the current model's configuration.
