The premium sedan from the Czech car maker will be available in India at a price of Rs 54 Lakh (ex-showroom) and as a CBU import (Completely Built Unit).
Key Highlights:
Skoda India has finally launched its much awaited flagship sedan Superb in India. The premium sedan from the Czech car maker will be available in India at a price of Rs 54 Lakh (ex-showroom). As the sedan is a CBU import (Completely Built Unit), it will only be available in a limited quantity of just 100 units.
This time Skoda has introduced the top of the line L&K AT variant of the Superb in India. The new Superb will come with just 1 powertrain choice i.e. 2 litre four cylinder TSI petrol engine paired with only a 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox. The engine generates 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque.
On the features front, the new Skoda Superb is more luxurious and feature loaded than any of the car in its price segment. Some of the luxurious features of the new Superb include a 9 inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.2 inch digital drivers display, 3 zone climate control AC, wireless charging, 12 way adjust front electric seats, driver seat with massage and memory function, 12 speaker Canton audio system, ventilated and heated front seats, etc. However, it still misses out on a sunroof.

When it comes to passive safety, Skoda has equipped the new Superb with 9 airbags. Also, for active safety, it offers features like 360 degree camera, park assist (semi autonomous parking) with auto braking, driver fatigue and drowsiness detection, TPMS, active chassis control, front and rear parking sensors, etc.
While Skoda already offers Global NCAP 5 star rated cars like Kushaq and Slavia, this new flagship sedan from the company is a notch above in this aspect. It comes with a 5 star rating from EURO NCAP, making it one of the safest cars in India.
According to the brand, the deliveries of the new Superb will start later this month. As this will be a limited number import, it will be a rare model compared to its main rival i.e. Toyota Camry Hybrid.
Although only 100 units of the new Skoda Superb will be available for the Indian market, we expect a higher demand for the premium sedan. It is highly likely that Skoda will further bring more units of the Superb in India as soon as the 100 units is sold out. That's coz this Skoda is truly one of the most value for money premium sedan currently available in India.
