Unlike its conventional counterparts, the Rolls-Royce Spectre ditches the iconic 6 ¾ V12 engine for a revolutionary electric powertrain. The four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle boasts a robust 430 kW motor capacity, generating an impressive 900 Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, the Spectre boasts of a remarkable range of 323 miles (520 km) with its 102 kWh battery pack.
The Spectre's design is a testament to Rolls-Royce's commitment to innovation. The front features the widest-ever Rolls-Royce grille, illuminated by 22 LEDs, while the iconic "Spirit Of Ecstasy" has been aerodynamically reimagined. The vehicle's fastback profile, colossal single-body panel, and jewel-like vertical tail lamps contribute to its distinctiveness.
As expected from Rolls-Royce, the Spectre's interior offers limitless display options. Inspired by British tailoring, the front seat design features lapel parts in contrasting or complementary colors. Starlight Doors, with 4,796 illuminated 'stars,' and the Canadel Paneling backdrop for coach doors add to the luxurious experience. The cutting-edge SPIRIT system integrates Whispers application, offering remote engagement and real-time information.
Weighing at 2,975 kg and measuring 5,453 mm in length, the Spectre showcases Rolls-Royce's modified "Planar suspension" designed to handle the vehicle's weight. The system, known for the brand's signature "magic carpet ride," responds to driver inputs and road conditions, offering a smooth and controlled driving experience.
Rolls-Royce envisions the Spectre as more than just a motor car; it's a bold statement of intent for the brand's electric future. The company aims to fully electrify its product portfolio by the end of 2030. Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, expressed, "Spectre possesses all the qualities that have secured the Rolls-Royce legend."
