Revolt AW1 electric bike details leaked ahead of launch. The affordable model offers a 2.2 kWh battery, halogen lighting, and a range of 100 km.
Revolt Motors, a homegrown electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to launch a brand-new electric motorcycle tomorrow. Known for its sole product, the Revolt RV400, the company has operated as a one-product brand for a long time. Recently, Revolt teased the upcoming bike on its official website and social media platforms, creating buzz around this much-anticipated launch.
Several key details about the new electric bike, reportedly named AW1, have been leaked online. The name "AW1" is speculated to stand for "Are We One," a phrase prominently featured in Revolt’s teaser. However, based on the company’s past naming conventions, it’s possible the bike may eventually be sold as RV1.
The leaked documents suggest that the upcoming AW1 will be positioned below the current RV400 and RV400 BRZ models. In terms of equipment and specifications, the AW1 appears to be more modest compared to the RV400. It will feature conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, in contrast to the RV400's more premium upside-down front forks and rear mono-shock.
The AW1 will be powered by a 2kW electric motor paired with a 2.2 kWh battery, which should result in a slightly lower output and range. While the RV400 boasts a range of over 150 km on a single charge, the AW1 is expected to offer a range of around 100 km per charge. Additionally, unlike the RV400’s belt drive, the AW1 will use a chain drive to transmit power to the rear wheel. The braking system will include a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
The AW1 will come with several practical additions, including:
These changes have increased the bike’s payload capacity to over 250 kg, suggesting that Revolt may be targeting the B2B fleet segment with this model.
In terms of features, the Revolt AW1 will be equipped with:
Considering the simpler specifications, the AW1 is expected to be priced lower than the RV400. The projected price is around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an affordable option in the electric motorcycle market.
The official unveiling will provide more concrete details, but the AW1 is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Revolt’s lineup, aimed at both individual consumers and commercial fleet operators.
