Raptee gears up to introduce its first e-bike in India's mid-premium segment, priced between INR 2.5 to 3 lakh. Featuring CCS2 compatibility, it offers rapid charging within 45 minutes, promising innovation.
Key Highlights:
Raptee, a pioneering electric bike manufacturer, is poised to launch its debut e-bike in India's mid-premium segment, slated for the first quarter of FY25. With an estimated price range of INR 2.5 lakh to INR 3 lakh, the company aims to position its offering against 250cc vehicles, showcasing its first model at the Global Investors Meet in Tamil Nadu.
The flagship feature of Raptee's e-bike lies in its innovative high-voltage drivetrain technology, allowing compatibility with CCS2 car charging standards. CEO Dinesh Arjun highlights its adaptability to any public charger, boasting a life cycle of 10-12 years. Remarkably, the motorcycle can charge from 0-80% at home within just 45 minutes, a feat facilitated by its CCS2 compatibility and high-voltage drivetrain.
Looking ahead, Raptee envisions scaling up production to 10,000 vehicles in the upcoming financial year, with plans for a second bike by late 2025. To facilitate this growth, the company is gearing up for its third fundraising round, targeting USD 19 million. This capital infusion will bolster production capacities and pave the way for future innovations.

Amid subsidy cuts in the auto industry, Raptee remains undeterred, viewing the shift as an opportunity to enhance product quality and safety. While acknowledging the initial boost subsidies provided to electric vehicle adoption, CEO Arjun believes the move will ultimately benefit both manufacturers and consumers by promoting sustainability and driving technological advancements.
Beyond sales, Raptee aims to leverage vehicle-generated data to continually improve its offerings, emphasizing a commitment to evolving with customer needs and market trends. By harnessing insights from its vehicles, the company seeks to refine its products and deliver a superior riding experience, cementing its position as a leader in the e-mobility space.
As Raptee prepares to debut its groundbreaking e-bike, the company sets a new standard in electric motorcycle technology with its CCS2 compatibility and forward-looking approach to innovation. Positioned to disrupt the market, Raptee's entry promises to redefine the landscape of Indian e-mobility.
