OPG Mobility has announced a price reduction on its Ferrato range of electric 2-wheelers, making them more affordable for buyers.

OPG Mobility, formerly known as Okaya EV, has toned down the price of the entire Ferrato line-up all across India during the second phase of Okaya’s rebranding. This action is to consolidate the company’s belief in extending cost benefits obtained from suppliers to customers directly, as part of its vision to make electric mobility more affordable and accessible.

The re-branding initiative emphasises OPG Mobility’s unwavering dedication to achieve operational self-sufficiency, which is a pivotal step in the company's long-term growth strategy, and supports its expansion of service and dealer base throughout India while offering innovative products at competitive prices.

Mr. Anil Gupta, Chairman of OPG Mobility, commented on the recent developments as he said, “OPG Mobility is not just committed to 'Make in India,' but to 'Make in India for the World.' Our strategic price revisions and the MTEKPOWER integration are powerful demonstrations of our dedication to domestic manufacturing and new-age innovation. By directly delivering cost benefits to our customers and providing comprehensive EV solutions, we are taking a step to propel India's economic growth and lead the global transition to a sustainable future.”

Mr. Anshul Gupta, Managing Director of OPG Mobility, also commented on the same as he said, "As we embark on the second phase of our rebranding, OPG Mobility reaffirms its core belief: sustainable mobility solutions should be both affordable and accessible, without compromising innovation or quality. With the strategic inclusion of MTEKPOWER as a sub-brand, we are strengthening our position as a leader in battery technology and energy solutions. By strategically streamlining our supply chain and leveraging improved vendor rates, we're pleased to directly pass these cost savings on to our valued customers. The initiative enhances affordability but also serves as a key driver of India's 'Make in India' vision, boosting local manufacturing and contributing to national economic growth. We understand that our customers are at the heart of our success, and these price adjustments are a direct reflection of our commitment to delivering tangible end benefits.”

Mr. Anshul further added, “Our promise remains to provide high-performance, safety, robust build quality with long-lasting, and technologically superior mobility solutions that empower customers and contribute to a cleaner, greener tomorrow. This is a crucial step in our evolution, demonstrating our dedication to both our customers and the sustainable future of India.”

By shifting focus to domestic production, OPG Mobility is actively working towards making India a hub for electric vehicle innovation and manufacturing. The initiative, combined with the strategic acquisition of MTEKPOWER as a sub-brand under OPG Mobility, enables the company to offer end-to-end solutions, driving sustainability, economic growth, and national self-reliance.

To deliver a full spectrum of electric mobility solutions, OPG Mobility will utilize three key sub-brands: Ferrato for its two-wheeler range, OTTOOPG for three-wheelers, and MTEKPOWER as its dedicated provider of battery and energy storage technologies.

With a strong legacy of 40 years, MTEKPOWER will provide comprehensive energy solutions, including energy storage (ESS), EV charging stations (EVCS), and solar systems, alongside lithium and lead acid batteries for 2/3-wheelers, inverters, UPS, chargers, and auto components, driving India's shift towards a sustainable and electric future. Being part of OPG Mobility as a sub-brand, MTEKPOWER will contribute to strengthening OPG Mobility’s position as a top-tier battery manufacturer in India and a key contributor towards India's energy transition with its wide range of products and services.

OPG Mobility continues its commitment to excellence, safety, and innovation. The Ferrato scooter series is committed to providing superior performance and feature-packed electric mobility products capable of serving all types of customers.
