Ola's new Roadster series includes three motorcycles built on a scalable platform, all featuring a futuristic and minimalist design. The Roadster X starts at Rs 75,000 for the 2.5kWh base model, with prices at Rs 85,000 for the 3.5kWh variant and Rs 1 lakh for the 4.5kWh variant. Ola says the 4.5kWh version can accelerate from 0-40kph in 2.8 seconds, reach a top speed of 124kph, and offer a 200km range.
The Roadster X will come with disc brakes and a Combi Braking System (CBS), a 4.3-inch LCD screen running the latest MoveOS 5, and three riding modes: Sport, Normal, and Eco. Deliveries are expected to start in the first half of 2025.
The Roadster will have a 13kW motor and come in three versions: 3.5kWh, 4.5kWh, and 6kWh. Prices start at Rs 1.05 lakh for the base model, Rs 1.20 lakh for the mid-spec, and Rs 1.40 lakh for the top-spec. The top version is claimed to accelerate from 0-40kph in just 2 seconds, with a top speed of 126kph and a range of 248km. It features four riding modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco) that can be controlled via a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen.
The Roadster will also include cruise control, proximity unlock, smartwatch app integration, and other AI-powered features. Ola says it will have disc brakes with single-channel ABS and cornering ABS. Deliveries are set to begin in the first half of 2025, shortly after the Roadster X.
The Roadster Pro will be powered by a motor with a peak output of 52kW and 105Nm. It will come in two versions: 8kWh and 16kWh, priced at Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh, respectively. Ola says the Roadster Pro can go from 0-60kph in 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 194kph. The 16kWh battery is claimed to offer an IDC range of 579km.
The Roadster Pro will feature a 10-inch TFT touchscreen, USD fork, dual-channel ABS, and four riding modes. It will also include safety features such as ADAS, three levels of traction control, cornering ABS, and wheelie and stoppie control. Deliveries are expected to start in the first half of 2026.
Ola plans to start developing and using its own battery cells in its electric vehicles from 2025. These cells are currently being tested at Ola's gigafactory and are expected to be cost-effective, giving the company a competitive edge. Ola claims these new cells will hold five times more energy than their current ones, last over 1,000 charge cycles, and support faster charging.
