Okaya EV to launch Motofaast, a new electric scooter with 120 km range and 70 kmph top speed

Okaya EV, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer in India, has teased its new electric scooter, Motofaast, on its social media platforms. The company has also opened pre-bookings for the scooter with an initial payment of Rs 1,999 through its website or dealerships. The launch date and price of the scooter have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to be under Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and to be launched soon.

Motofaast is claimed to be the most powerful naked bike from Okaya EV, with a 999 cc, inline, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers a peak power of 212 bhp and a torque of 113 Nm. The scooter has a top speed of 70 kmph and a range of 120 km on a single charge. The battery pack uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry, which enhances safety and longevity.

The scooter has a sleek and sporty design, with a single pod headlight, a muscular fuel tank, large tank extensions, a flat and wide handlebar, and a two-piece seat. The scooter also features M Winglets that produce more downforce for better stability and aerodynamics. The Competition variant of the scooter also gets M Carbon parts and an M pillion package.

The scooter is equipped with a host of features and technologies to enhance the riding experience. It has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that shows various information and multimedia options. It also has ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race 1 to 3), traction control, wheelie control, ABS, engine brake control, launch control, and more.

The suspension setup consists of 45 mm USD front forks and a mono-shock at the rear, both with preload, rebound, and compression adjustability. The braking system comprises 320 mm dual front discs and a single 220 mm rear disc with ABS. The scooter also has alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.

Motofaast will compete with other high-performance electric scooters in the market, such as Ducati Streetfighter V4, Kawasaki Z H2, and Aprilia Tuono V4. The scooter is expected to attract customers who are looking for an eco-friendly yet powerful and stylish ride.
