BMW launches F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure in India with 895cc engines, new features, and distinct styling differences.

New BMW F 900 GS and GS Adventure Hit Indian Roads: Check Details

BMW has introduced its latest adventure motorcycles in India, expanding its premium two-wheeler line-up. The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure have been launched at Rs 13.75 lakh and Rs 14.75 lakh, respectively. Both models feature a new 895cc parallel-twin engine, producing 105hp and 93Nm of torque. The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure arrive in India as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and offer a range of advanced features to cater to different riding preferences.

The new F 900 GS series is built on a bridge-type frame, with each model sporting a unique rear sub-frame.

The standard GS and Adventure variants differ in several key aspects:

  • Fuel capacity: 14.5 liters for GS, 23 liters for Adventure
  • Styling: GS adopts a minimalist approach, while Adventure resembles previous models
  • Weight: Adventure is 20kg heavier at 246kg

Despite these differences, both motorcycles share a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup and identical suspension travel. The bikes come equipped with a new 6.5-inch TFT display, allowing riders to adjust various settings such as riding modes, traction control, and cruise control. Heated grips are standard on both models.

The F 900 GS features a slim profile and a single headlight unit reminiscent of the smaller G 310 GS. In contrast, the Adventure variant offers a larger seat and fuel tank, catering to long-distance touring enthusiasts.

Bookings for the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure are now open, with deliveries expected to commence in October. The BMW Motorrad website still lists the outgoing F 850 GS, which will probably be removed once all remaining units are sold.

These new additions to BMW's motorcycle range offer riders advanced technology and improved performance, strengthening the brand's position in India's premium adventure bike segment.
