Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance launched in India at Rs 1.95 crore. The 680hp hybrid sedan features F1-inspired technology, advanced drive modes, and premium AMG-specific enhancements.
With a starting price of Rs 1.95 crore, Mercedes-AMG has introduced the much-anticipated C 63 S E Performance in India. Along with the S 63 E Performance and GT 63 S E Performance, this performance-focused C-Class is AMG's third new vehicle of the year and its third plug-in hybrid vehicle available in India. Delivery is supposed to start in April 2025, and bookings are already being accepted.
In contrast to the regular C-Class, the AMG C 63 S E Performance boasts unique stylistic upgrades. It is 76 mm wider and 83 mm longer than the standard C-Class thanks to its aggressive front and rear bumpers, expanded front wheel arches, and the iconic AMG vertically slatted grille with active shutters. Its athletic charm is further enhanced by the standard 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
Exclusive AMG paint options, including Matt Graphite Grey Magno, and the ability to switch out the conventional vented and perforated metal brakes with ceramic high-performance composite brakes are examples of customization possibilities.
The inside of the AMG model is completely black, with vented sports seats covered in high-end nappa leather and a steering wheel designed specifically for AMG. Standard features include a head-up display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, carbon fiber trim, and a top-notch 710W, 15-speaker Burmester sound system. Customers who want a more athletic sensation might choose AMG Performance seats. Seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a number of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are standard safety features.
A cutting-edge 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine replaces the conventional V8 engine seen in the C 63 S E Performance. This engine plant is mated to a 9-speed automated transmission and produces 476 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque. An electric motor positioned on the back axle adds 204 horsepower and 320 Nm to the engine's output, making it an astonishing 680 horsepower and 1,020 Nm of torque.
Formula 1-derived technology is used in the hybrid configuration, such as an electrically assisted turbocharger that uses the 400V electrical system to increase turbine reaction. AMG's 4Matic+ technology, which has a drift mode for improved driving dynamics, distributes power to all four wheels. Thanks to the standard AMG Driver's Package, the C 63 S E Performance can reach a high speed of 280 kph and accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in only 3.4 seconds.
With its 6.1kWh, 89kg battery pack, the C 63 S E Performance can travel up to 13km on electricity alone. Eight different driving modes are available for the car: Individual, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, RACE, Slippery, Electric, and Battery Hold. Three suspension settings are also offered by the adaptive damping system: Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.
The conventional four-wheel steering allows the rear wheels to turn up to 0.7 degrees in the same direction as the front wheels at higher speeds and up to 2.5 degrees in the opposite direction at lower speeds.
Mercedes-AMG is highlighting the brand's dedication to performance and customer satisfaction by providing every buyer of the C 63 S E Performance with a complimentary chance to experience driving at the renowned Nürburgring, further adding to the attraction.
