Discover the updated prices for the Maruti Ertiga and Ignis models. Get the best deal with the latest pricing information.
Maruti Suzuki, a leading carmaker, has recently announced a price hike for its popular three-row MPV Ertiga and sporty hatchback Ignis models. This price increase, which took effect this month, is a result of the company's decision to introduce RDE-compliant engines in its cars.
The new prices of the Ertiga and Ignis models have gone up by up to Rs. 15,000, depending on the specific model. This latest price hike follows a similar increase on other Maruti Suzuki models such as Swift, Dzire, Celerio, XL6, Ciaz, and Wagon R, which occurred earlier.
It's important to note that the decision to introduce RDE-compliant engines was likely driven by regulatory requirements, and the increased prices are necessary to offset the additional cost associated with these new engines. Despite the price hike, the Ertiga and Ignis models remain popular choices for car buyers in India.
Maruti Suzuki, the leading car manufacturer in India, has increased the price of its best-selling MPV, the Ertiga, by up to Rs. 15,000. As per the revised pricing, the base model of the Ertiga has now been priced at Rs. 8.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end model is available for Rs. 13.08 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ertiga received several updates with its new generation launch last year, and it quickly became a popular choice among car buyers in India. However, the model faced its first price hike in July 2021, only a few months after its launch.
Maruti Suzuki offers the Ertiga with a new generation K-series 1.5-litre Dual VVT engine that comes with a six-speed automatic transmission unit. The car also features paddle shifters, making it a great option for those looking for a smooth driving experience.
While the price increase may come as a disappointment for some customers, it's important to note that it may have been necessary due to the rising costs of production and compliance with new regulations. Nevertheless, the Ertiga continues to be a popular and reliable choice for car buyers in India.
| Maruti Suzuki Models | New Ex-Showroom Price ||----------------------|-----------------------|| Eritga | Rs. 8.64-13.08 Lakhs || Eritga CNG | Rs. 10.73-11.83 Lakhs || Ignis | Rs. 5.83-8.16 Lakhs |
Maruti Suzuki, a leading car manufacturer in India, has increased the price of its sporty hatchback, the Ignis, by Rs. 2,000. The base model of the Ignis has now been priced at Rs. 5.84 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end model is priced at Rs. 8.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki updated the engine of the Ignis to make it compliant with both BS-6 and RDE norms, which could have been a factor in the price increase. The Ignis is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 82 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The car is available with both a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT transmission unit, giving buyers the option to choose the one that suits them best.
Despite the price increase, the Ignis remains a popular choice for car buyers in India, thanks to its sporty design, comfortable interiors, and reliable performance. Maruti Suzuki continues to provide updates and improvements to its models to meet the changing needs of consumers and to comply with regulatory requirements.
