Mahindra has achieved a remarkable feat by manufacturing and selling over 100,000 units of their SUV in less than 2.5 years.
Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automotive manufacturer, has recently announced that it has achieved an impressive production milestone for its latest generation Thar SUV. The company has successfully manufactured and sold over 100,000 units of this SUV in less than 2.5 years, which is a remarkable feat.
The latest version of the Thar was introduced to the market in October 2020, and it comes with a host of updates and new features. Some of these updates include a powerful petrol engine, automatic transmission, and new exterior styling updates that give the vehicle a sleek and modern look.
In addition to the updated exterior, the new Thar also boasts a more connected and upmarket cabin, providing drivers and passengers with an exceptional driving experience.
Since its launch, the Thar has received numerous awards and accolades for its outstanding performance and design. The SUV's impressive sales figures and positive reviews are a testament to its success in the automotive industry, and Mahindra & Mahindra can be proud of this significant achievement.
The achievement of producing over 100,000 units of the Thar SUV in less than 2.5 years is a clear indication of its immense popularity and the increasing demand for SUVs in India. The landmark unit of Thar, which marked this significant milestone, was painted in a pristine white colour, enhancing the SUV's visual appeal.
With its sporty design language, impressive list of features, and all-terrain capabilities, the Thar is a versatile vehicle that can meet the driving needs of both city and highway roads. The SUV's off-roading capabilities have made it a popular choice for adventure seekers, making it the ideal vehicle for camping adventures or weekend getaways with friends.
According to Veejay Nakra, the President of the Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra, the company is thrilled to see the Thar become an integral part of so many cherished memories and journeys.
The Thar is now available in both 4x4 and RWD variants, offering customers a wider range of options to choose from. The 4x4 variant of the Thar is specifically designed for off-roading enthusiasts, equipped with a robust drivetrain, high ground clearance, and advanced features such as a mechanical locking differential and a shift-on-the-fly transfer case. All these features make the Thar a perfect choice for those who love to explore the outdoors and experience new adventures.
The Thar's RWD variation is marketed as an excellent option for those seeking a unique design, comfortable daily commute, and highway use. Mahindra recently presented World Boxing champion Nikhat Zareen with a Thar SUV as a reward for her victory over Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam at the championship held in Delhi on March 26.
Mahindra has previously honoured Indian athletes who have earned recognition for the country by providing them with new models to motivate them, with Neeraj Chopra, an Olympic Gold medalist and javelin champion, being among the most notable.
