Mahindra's BE.Rall-E, an electric off-road SUV based on the BE.05, is undergoing testing and is slated for a 2025 launch in India.

Mahindra BE.Rall-E Spied: Off-Road Electric SUV Set for 2025 Launch

Mahindra is gearing up to introduce the BE.Rall-E, an electric rally vehicle, as part of its plans to establish itself as a major player in the EV market. Initially showcased as a concept in February 2023, the BE.Rall-E is now undergoing testing and is expected to launch in 2025. The BE.Rall-E, an off-road-ready electric SUV is based on the BE.05 compact electric SUV but features a more rugged design and enhanced capabilities for challenging terrains.

The BE.Rall-E, which Mahindra calls "The Electric Trailblazer," stands out from other vehicles in the XUV.e and BE range with distinct off-road-focused attributes.

Key features of the BE.Rall-E include:

  • A unique fascia compared to the BE.05
  • Roof-mounted luggage rack
  • Increased suspension travel
  • Potential for larger M/T (Mud-Terrain) tyres
  • Subtle lighting elements, unlike the BE.05's prominent C-shaped LED signatures
  • Likely increased ground clearance and reinforced bash plates

While initial speculation suggested the BE.Rall-E might be a base variant of the BE.05, recent spy shots and Mahindra's vehicle positioning on its website under the "Products" section indicate otherwise. The test mule resembles the concept version showcased last year, suggesting that Mahindra is committed to bringing this more extreme version to market.

The BE.Rall-E is expected to be built on Mahindra's INGLO platform, possibly featuring a dual-motor AWD setup as standard to enhance its off-road capabilities. The electric powertrain may include a battery pack of around 60 kWh, offering a range of approximately 500 km on a single charge.

Inside, the BE.Rall-E will likely share a similar interior layout with the BE.05, featuring a cockpit-like split dashboard design. As development progresses, more details about the vehicle's specifications and features are expected to emerge.

The introduction of the BE.Rall-E aligns with Mahindra's broader strategy to expand its electric vehicle line-up, which includes other models such as the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, and BE.07.
