Car lovers are in for a treat as the Lamborghini Huracan STO is launching in India on July 15, 2021.
● The impressive racing car kicks off with a powerful 640hp 5.2L V10 engine.● Lamborghini claims that the Huracan STO can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph within 3 seconds.● Mechanical and aerodynamical improvements make the Lamborghini Huracan STO an upgraded version of the standard Huracan.
The difference is there to see.Huracan cars are renowned for their racetrack ability. However, the Lamborghini Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologata) looks to be the most refined and track-focused version from the Italian supercar manufacturer for the Indian market. The STO’s upgrades equal that of Huracan ST Evo and other successful GT3 racing car models as they improve downforce and optimize engine cooling.
Lamborghini Huracan STO features carbon fibre car body panels that contribute to its lightweight. The other upgrades include magnesium wheels, a redesigned underbody, a new rear diffuser, a single-piece bonnet and front-fender, a new front splitter, an air-scoop and deflector design and NACA air intakes that are in-tune with racing car models.
The car’s lightweight design is its primary highlight as the Italian manufacturer provides carbon-backed sports seats, carbon-weaved floor mats, and carbon door panels. Thus, the STO is nearly 43% lighter than its predecessor, Huracan Performante. As a result, it generates a 53% higher downforce.
Powerful Engine Specifications
The rear-wheel-drive racing car gets one of the most powerful engines, the 640hp, 565Nm, and 5.2L V10, which generates 30hp more power and 15Nm more torque than the RWD Coupe. Moreover, the engine delivers incredible power to the rear wheel through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system. As a result, the carmaker claims that the acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in less than three seconds, much quicker than the RWD Coupe.
Other safety feature upgrades include new anti-roll bars, stiffer springs, wider track, carbon-ceramic brakes, and better direct fixed-ratio steering. In addition, the STO features rear-wheel steering facilities.
Launch in India
The Lamborghini Huracan STO, the fifth Huracan Evo derivative, is primed for a grand launch in India on July 15, 2021. This launch follows the AWD Coupe and RWD Spyder models. Also lined up for a launch are the Urus SUV and the Aventador supercar. So Indian racing car enthusiasts are in for a real treat.
