Kia EV6 Facelift: Kia has finally unveiled the all-new facelift variant of EV6 in South Korea. The EV SUV has received some major cosmetic and feature upgrades. The new Kia EV6 is a real upgrade because it comes with some major improvements inside and out and now it also comes equipped with a bigger and more powerful battery pack. Kia EV6 Facelift Major Changes

The company has made some major changes in the design on the front side because now it features angular LED daytime running lights and headlights instead of the previously available traditional headlights. The new LED daytime running lights seem quite inspired by the production model of the EV9. Apart from this, the E-SUV now features a totally different front design language with a new grille and bumper which helps this car to exude a modern appearance.

Kia EV6 Facelift Exteriors Upgrades

In terms of exteriors, the SUV comes with a similar design as before except a new black and silver wheels. These new wheels are now available in 19 and 20-inch sizes. At the rear side, the E-SUV still features an LED light bar which covers the full width at the back while keeping the original design of the E-SUV intact.

Kia EV6 Facelift Upgraded Interiors

When it comes to interior design, the Kia EV6’s cabin looks more feature-packed and tech-loaded. The electric SUV gets an upgraded screen that houses both an infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster. A notable addition has been made to the steering wheel because now there is an upgraded steering wheel with a fingerprint sensor that enables registered drivers to start the car without a key. The new Kia EV6 also comes with the support of Android Auto and Apple Car Play which is a basic connectivity feature in the present scenario.

Kia EV6 Facelift Features

Kia Motors will also provide OTA updates for the EV6’s most of electronic control systems which were previously limited to navigation only. These updates will definitely increase the reliability of the vehicle. Apart from this, there are features such as a new heads-up display, and an augmented reality navigation system that looks similar to some of Genesis’s offerings. 

Kia EV6 Facelift: Powertrain

The new facelifted Kia EV6 is powered by the all-new 84 kWh battery which is manufactured by Hyundai Motor Group itself. The new battery pack provides a maximum range of 494 km which is 24 km up from the previous range of 475 km. The E-SUV now supports 350 kW DC charging that fuels up the battery from 10-80 per cent in just 18 minutes.

As far as the power is concerned, the RWD models generate a maximum power of 225 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. On the other hand. The AWD models churn out 320 bhp of power and 605 Nm of torque.
