In the company's global product lineup, the newly announced Kia EV9 will rank above the EV6 compact crossover.

Kia EV9 Electric First Appearance Globally

Kia's Electric EV9 SUV will have its first appearance in mid-March 2023. It will be first rolled out in the UK, where it will directly compete with Range Rover. As you know, the close-to-production version has been displayed by the automaker at this year's Delhi auto expo.

On its intended introduction in India, there has been no formal announcement. The newly released Kia EV9 will rank above the EV6 compact crossover in the company's global product portfolio.

Official information on the forthcoming electric SUV from Kia is still a secret. The spy photos show that the concept car will retain the brand's distinctive "Tiger Nose" grille, a Z-shaped cluster of headlamps, and a blanked-out panel with LED light modules at the front end.

Together with the prominent wheel arches, a sharp bend behind the C-pillar, alloy wheels, roof rails, and black ORVMs, it has an upright stance. The concept's rear has big rear bumpers, a rear spoiler, a wide glasshouse, and vertically positioned LED taillamps.

Features and Specification

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 also utilise the e-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) architecture, which will serve as the foundation for the forthcoming Kia EV9 electric SUV. It is a specialised electric modular platform that enables various body forms, battery capacities, and up to 350kW of fast charging.

According to the manufacturer, the e-GMP is built on four pillars: modularity, performance, dependability, and usability. It is asserted to have better cornering performance, high-speed stability, and driving dynamics.

The new Kia EV9 measures 4929mm in length, 2055mm in width, and 1790mm in height overall. It has a 3,100mm wheelbase. A 64kWh battery pack that can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in under 7 minutes may be included in the vehicle that is ready for production. It's anticipated that a dual motor setup and 4WD (four-wheel drive) powertrain technology will be available. One motor that sends power to the back axle may be included in the lesser grades.
