A 400cc Screamer That Can Outrun The Ninja 400 Kawasaki’s new 400cc inline-four bike, the ZX-4RR, can produce almost twice as much power as the Ninja 400 and rev up to 16,000rpm.

How Fast Is Kawasaki’s ZX-4RR? Can it Outrun The Ninja 400?

Back in February, Kawasaki stunned us all with the reveal of the powerful ZX-4R and ZX-4RR. Ever since we learned that this 400cc bike can produce almost twice as much power as the beloved Ninja 400, we have been wondering about one thing: how fast can it go? Well, the kind people at RevZilla have answered our curiosity by taking the 400cc inline-four beast of a bike to an air strip. You can watch the video here-

Bike Revs Up To 16,000rpm

The rider, Zack Courts, is shown pushing the bike beyond 14,000rpm in every gear. In fact, the bike reaches a staggering 16,000rpm when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. And the ZX-4RR seems to enjoy doing so. These inline-fours are something else!1.png

The Top Speed Is Surprisingly Low

However, we were surprised to see it only reaching 131mph (around 211kmph) in its 6th gear. Because a video that came out online a few months ago showed it hitting 207kmph in 5th gear. So we think that the difference could be due to the riders’ weights and maybe the road quality.

The Sound Is Amazing

The engine also makes a sound that will delight any car enthusiast. But if buyers want to change this sound further, they can check out four different exhausts for the bike here.

The Bike Is Not Coming To India Soon

Having said that, the bike will not be coming to India anytime soon, so the Ninja 400 is your best option in the sub-500cc supersport segment. Yes, the Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag will make you cry, but it is truly a great bike.
