Hyundai updates its Venue variants by introducing S(O) and SX(O) Executive versions and discontinuing the diesel E and S models.
● Hyundai Venue E and S trim discontinued.● The Hyundai S(O) and SX(O) Executive variants introduced● Hyundai 1.0L Turbo SX(O) MT discontinued
Hyundai has rejigged its Venue variants by introducing a couple of new versions and discontinuing a couple. The Hyundai Venue E and S diesel versions and the 1.0L Turbo SX(O) diesel stand discontinued. However, the Hyundai Venue S Petrol version is still available.
In its place, Hyundai has introduced two new variants, the Hyundai Venue S(O) with a 1.0L petrol and 1.5L diesel engine, and the Hyundai Venue SX(O) Executive with a diesel engine alone.
The Discontinued Versions – Hyundai Venue
With Hyundai discontinuing some of its Venue models, the diesel engine version is available from the Hyundai S(O) trim. Previously, the E (entry-level) and S variants had a diesel version. Thus, the Hyundai diesel variant pricing starts from Rs 9.45 lakhs rather than the existing Rs 8.38 lakhs.
The Turbo petrol engine is available in the new S(O) version, whereas the older Venue E and S models will feature the naturally aspirated 1.2L petrol engine. Hyundai has also dropped the SX(O) Turbo petrol version with a manual transmission system.
Hyundai Venue – Competition
The Hyundai Venue offers stiff competition to the compact SUV models, including Maruti Vitara Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Renault Kiger, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
Hyundai is also planning a new launch soon in the small SUV segment below the Venue. Though the model has not got a name, it proposes to compete with the upcoming Tata HBX concept-based SUV. In addition, Hyundai plans to give its Creta a facelift in the coming years.
