Hyundai is about to replace the 1.4-litre petrol Engine variant with a 1.5-litre petrol Engine.
The Creta 1.4-litre turbo petrol models are no longer available on Hyundai's official website. As a result, the popular SUV, which recently had its biggest sales in a month, is now only offering 1.5-litre Petrol and 1.5-litre diesel powertrain options that comply with RDE.
The popular SUV from Hyundai, the Creta, has set a new monthly sales record for sales. The automaker that just upgraded the Creta had its highest-ever domestic sales in January 2023 with 15,037 units sold.
Six airbags are included as standard equipment in Hyundai's RDE-compliant Creta SUV, which also features improved safety technology and an idle start/stop system.
The first generation Creta SUV was released in June 2015 and saw sales of 4,67,030 units between June 2015 and February 2020.
3,71,267 units of the Hyundai Creta's current generation were sold between March 2020 and January 2023. The Hyundai Creta has sold more than 3 lakh units since 2015.
Around the middle of 2023, Hyundai India is anticipated to introduce the Creta facelift with certain cosmetic changes. The new generation Hyundai Tucson serves as an influence for the front profile, and changes are also made to the tail lights. The Creta will have more features when it gets a facelift.
The 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, which was discontinued, produced 242 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,200 rpm and 138 horsepower at 6,000 rpm.
According to rumours, Hyundai will swap out the Creta's 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine for a new 1.5-litre turbocharged Petrol engine that will make its debut in the upcoming all-new Verna.
The new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is expected to meet RDE (BS6 stage-2) standards and has a maximum output of 156.8 horsepower. Learn more about the new Verna in the interim by visiting this page.
It's likely that the engine powering the Kia Seltos and Kia Carens will soon be phased out as well.
The 1.5-litre, 113-bhp engines are now available for the Hyundai Creta, and both come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. In comparison, the diesel has an optional six-speed torque converter AT while the Petrol has an IVT (CVT).
Hyundai Creta has priced between Rs 10.84 lakh to Rs 19.13 lakh, ex-showroom. It rivals the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos and the MG Astor.
