Honda plans to launch Elevate EV in 2024, following the success of Honda Elevate.

After Honda Elevate they are planning to launch Elevate EV in 2024

Honda to launch Elevate EV in 2024, plans to introduce five more SUVs by 2030

Honda Cars India, which recently launched its new mid-size SUV Elevate at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, has announced its plans to introduce an all-electric version of the same model by 2024. The company also revealed that it will launch five more SUVs in the Indian market by 2030, as part of its strategy to focus on the SUV segment, which has become the leading vertical in terms of volumes.

The Honda Elevate EV will be the first electric vehicle from the Japanese automaker in India and will compete with the likes of Hyundai Kona Electric, MG ZS EV, and Tata Nexon EV. The company has not disclosed any details about the specifications, features, or pricing of the Elevate EV, but it is expected to offer a decent driving range, fast charging capability, and advanced safety and connectivity features.

The Honda Elevate, which is based on the City sedan platform, is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine that produces 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. It is available in both manual and automatic transmission options and offers a mileage of 15.31 kmpl and 16.92 kmpl respectively.

The SUV comes with a progressive and protective design, a spacious and luxurious interior, and a host of features such as Honda SENSING, Honda Connect, sunroof, LED headlights, and a touchscreen infotainment system.

The company claims that the Elevate has received a strong response from customers, with over 10,000 bookings since its unveiling in June. The SUV has a waiting period of up to six months for some variants. The company hopes that Elevate will help it achieve its sales target of 1.2 lakh units in the current fiscal year.

Honda Cars India President & CEO Takuya Tsumura said that the company is confident that Elevate will cater to the diverse needs and preferences of Indian customers. He also said that the company is committed to offering environment-friendly mobility solutions in India, and will introduce more electrified models in the future.
