Honda electrified CES 2024 with futuristic 'Saloon' and 'Space-Hub' concepts, visualizing a global EV future by 2040 with innovative designs.

Honda Electrifies CES 2024 with Two Concept Electric Cars Set for 2026 Debut
  • Unveils 'Saloon' and 'Space-Hub,' gearing up for 2026 global EV entry.

  • Honda targets electric dominance with the sleek Honda 0 Series.

  • Starting in North America, Honda revs up global electric vehicle sales.

  • Aiming for two million electric vehicles yearly, introducing 30 new models.

  • New H logo defines upcoming electric models, starting with Honda 0 Series.

In a bold move towards electrification, Honda has electrified the CES 2024 in Las Vegas by unveiling two concept electric vehicles (EVs) as part of its groundbreaking Honda 0 Series. Dubbed as 'Saloon' and 'Space-Hub,' these innovative concepts are designed to set the stage for Honda's electric future, with the first production model expected to hit the market in 2026.

Honda's Global Electric Vision

Honda, a major player in the automotive industry, imagines a future where the battery-powered and fuel-cell electric vehicles will dominate its global sales by 2040. The Honda 0 Series is assured to play a pivotal role in this ambitious strategy, signaling the company's commitment to catching up with its global rivals in the rapidly evolving landscape of electric vehicles.

Market Focus and Ambitions

While Honda stands as the second-largest car manufacturer in Japan, its electric vehicle sales have been trailing behind its competitors from Europe and the United States. The Honda 0 Series aims to bridge this gap by making its initial debut in the North American market before expanding globally. However, the automaker has yet to disclose the crucial details such as the pricing, the number of EVs present in the series, and their sales targets.

Honda's Electric Sales

In the first nine months of 2023, Honda sold approximately 11,000 battery electric vehicles globally, comprising less than 0.5% of its total global sales of about 2.8 million cars. With the introduction of the Honda 0 Series, the company aims to accelerate its electric vehicle efforts, aligning with its previously announced goal of producing two million electric vehicles annually by 2030 and introducing 30 new electric models by the end of the decade.

Key Facts about Honda 0 Series

The Honda 0 Series is built on a novel approach characterized by thin, light, and wise principles. Honda promises five core values with this lineup, including an artistic design evoking resonance, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for safety and peace of mind, connected technologies facilitating a people-centric space, the joy of driving with a sense of unity with the vehicle, and outstanding electric efficiency performance.

A Symbolic Emblem: The New H Logo

Accompanying the Honda 0 Series is a fresh and futuristic H logo, set to become an integral part of the next-generation electric vehicles from Honda. This emblem symbolizes the brand's commitment to innovation and signifies a new era for Honda's electric vehicle lineup.

CarBike360 Says

Honda's debut of the Honda 0 Series at CES 2024 marks a significant leap towards a future dominated by electric mobility. With a clear focus on global expansion, advanced technology integration, and a commitment to environmental sustainability, Honda is set to reshape the automotive landscape with its revolutionary electric vehicle lineup.
