Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have recently unveiled the highly anticipated Dio 125 in the Indian market. With its sporty design and powerful engine, the Dio 125 aims to cater to the aspirations of young Indian customers. Let's delve into the details of this stylish scooter and its advanced features.
Retaining its sporty appeal, the Dio 125 showcases Honda's signature design language. However, it now houses a more potent engine, borrowed from the Grazia 125 and Activa 125 models. Generating approximately 8.19 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque output of 10.4 Nm, this engine provides a spirited ride.
Power is smoothly transmitted to the rear wheel via a CVT automatic transmission. Additionally, Honda has equipped the Dio 125 with advanced technologies, such as the ESP (Enhanced Smart Power), automated choke system, and idle start/stop functionality.
The Dio 125 offers a range of features to enhance the riding experience. A fully digital instrument cluster provides vital information, including distance to empty, average fuel efficiency, real-time fuel efficiency, trip meter, clock, side-stand indicator, Eco indicator, and service due indicator.
The Smart variant comes with Honda's H-Smart key, which incorporates a lock mod combining five functions into a single rotary knob. The braking duties are handled by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, ensuring efficient stopping power. Alloy wheels with tubeless tires contribute to the overall appeal and performance of the scooter.
The Dio 125 is available in two variants: Standard and Smart. The ex-showroom prices for the Standard variant start at ₹ 83,400, while the Smart variant is priced at ₹ 91,300. Honda provides a standard warranty of three years for the Dio 125, and customers have the option to extend it up to ten years by opting for the optional extended warranty.
Mr Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, expressed his excitement about the Dio 125's launch. He highlighted that the Dio has been a popular choice among Indian scooter enthusiasts since its introduction in 2002, combining the appeal of a motorcycle with the convenience of a scooter.
With the all-new 125cc Dio, Honda aims to offer an unparalleled ownership experience, featuring a powerful engine, sporty design, cutting-edge technology, and best-in-class convenience.
The Honda Dio 125 brings a refreshing update to the Dio lineup, offering Indian customers a dynamic and powerful scooter option. With its sporty design, advanced features, and Honda's commitment to customer satisfaction, the Dio 125 is poised to carve a significant presence in the competitive scooter market.
