Experience the future of electric vehicles with Hero's Surge S32, a Convertible Two-in-One EV, unveiled at Hero World 2024, set to redefine the EV market.
Key Highlights:
Indian two-wheeler giant Hero MotoCorp, through its subsidiary Surge Startup, has unveiled a groundbreaking addition to the electric vehicle market - the Surge S32, in Hero World 2024. This innovative vehicle promises to revolutionise personal transportation for self-employed individuals, offering the flexibility of both a three-wheeler electric rickshaw and an electric scooter in a single vehicle.
The Surge S32 is not just another electric vehicle, it is a transformative concept that caters to the dynamic needs of self-employed individuals. Inspired by the idea of a class-shifting vehicle, the Surge S32, a two-in-one convertible vehicle, allows owners to seamlessly transition between a utility-focused electric rickshaw and a more upscale electric scooter, all within a remarkable three minutes.
The Surge S32 has all the necessary components, including a front passenger cabin with a windscreen, headlights, turn indicators, and windscreen wipers, to give the impression of a conventional three-wheeled electric cargo vehicle. Although Surge won't have doors at first, it does have plans to provide soft doors with zippers that can be removed for weather protection.
The ability of the Surge S32 to change at the touch of a button is perhaps its most remarkable feature. The electric scooter within is seen when the front windshield section lifts vertically. The interior changes dramatically, revealing a double-stand system that is spring-loaded. Now released from the cabin, the electric scooter has LED headlights, turn signals, a speedometer, and switchgear all of its own.

The Surge S32 divides its battery and power resources between the scooter and the three-wheeler in an intelligent manner. The scooter has an engine rated at 3 kW (4 bhp), while the three-wheeler has a powerful 10 kW (13.4 bhp) engine. With a 3.5 kWh battery for the scooter and an 11 kWh battery powering the three-wheeler for a significant range, the Surge S32 guarantees adaptability without sacrificing efficiency.
The Surge S32 meets a variety of needs with a top speed of 50 km/h for the three-wheeler and a marginally faster 60 km/h for the scooter. This cutting-edge vehicle promises a comfortable and effective ride, whether cruising through congested city streets or going on longer trips.
The expected price of this revolutionary convertible EV is said to be between Rs 2.5 Lakh and Rs 3 Lakh. The vehicle has only been showcased in Hero World 2024, for now official launch date has been confirmed.
An audacious advancement in electric mobility is the Hero Surge S32. With Hero MotoCorp's Surge Startup, the possibilities for personal transportation for independent contractors have been redefined by providing the convenience and versatility of a convertible electric vehicle. The Surge S32 is positioned to have a big impact on how we commute in urban areas thanks to its creative design, adaptable functionality, and dedication to sustainability.
