DesertX, the long-awaited bike and the new generated concept by the Ducati now have been publicly unveiled in the Auto Market. With this unveiling, DesertX drew a lot of attention from bike enthusiasts. Ducati pulled the wraps off of the DesertX Off-Road bike in the sixth episode of the 2022 season.
DesertX Comes with an intense off-road performance, that enlarges the boundaries of the bike, of what can be done with this newly launched bike.
DesertX provides desert dunes, narrow off-road paths, gravel roads and mountainous twisties. This Newly launched DesertX has a 21” front wheel and 18” rear, this has been designed to face the most challenging and demanding concepts of the off-roads.
Born in 2019, this DesertX Project presented the eponymous concept publicly and generated a strong reaction from around the world.
If we talk about the design, then it represents a contemporary interpretation of the lines of the Enduro motorcycles of the ’80s, which had been created by the Ducati Centro Stile to keep the essentiality and robustness Criteria.
In Addition, Some attractive push has also been given by the use of black and white areas.
The new Ducati DesertXcomes with a new steel trellis frame. The use of all components provides an efficient bike, Which is all packed in 202 kg (dry weight).

To not avoid the suspension front, this DesertX comes in its premium fitting. Which is offered with a 46 mm diameter upside-down Kayaba fork with 230 mm travel and Kayaba mono-shock.
Both the elements are adjustable in compression, rebound and preload. The Kayaba mono-shock is perfectly combined with the aluminium swingarm and allows a rear wheel travel of 220 mm. Also, DesertX has a generous 250 mm ground clearance.
DesertX tire size for a Ducati comes with 21” at the front and 18” at the rear. The original equipment tyres are the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR, 90/90-21 and 150/70 R18. DesertX will also be homologated to fit both off and on-road-oriented tyres.
The braking system of DesertX benefits from the ABS Cornering function, just like all the Ducati Motorcycle.

The front features Brembo M50 monobloc radial callipers with four 30 mm diameter pistons, an axial pump with adjustable levers and double 320 mm discs with aluminium flanges.
Ducati’s 937 cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° Desmodromic valve train engine is the heart of the new DesertX. Characterised by excellent reliability, this engine delivers 110bhp at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 92Nm at 6,500 rpm in Euro5/BS6 configuration.
DesertX is accepted to be launched in the year 2022, at the estimated price of Rs-16 Lakh.
To keep in mind the Best performance off-Road, the Testastretta 11° has been specifically optimised. Also, the gearbox has different dedicated ratios with the Multistrada V2.
The ratios have been shortened overall to make the gears up to fifth. The first and second gears are much shorter. Sixth gear is long to facilitate highway handling while maintaining low engine speeds. New DesertX comes with 6 Riding Modes working - Full, High, Medium, Low - which modify the power of the Testastretta engine.
