BMW Motorrad has unveiled the F450 GS Concept at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Featuring a new 450cc twin-cylinder engine, lightweight design, and advanced features, this adventure bike offers impressive on- and off-road performance.
BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off the F450 GS Concept at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This highly anticipated adventure bike made its global debut at the 2024 EICMA Show in Italy late last year.
Fully designed and developed by BMW Motorrad in Germany, the F450 GS will be manufactured in India by BMW’s local partner, TVS Motor Company. The bike is powered by a brand-new 450cc twin-cylinder engine, delivering approximately 48 bhp. BMW highlights the engine’s punchy low-end performance, compact dimensions, and lightweight construction achieved through the extensive use of materials like magnesium.
The chassis has been engineered from the ground up with a focus on agility, ensuring exceptional handling both on and off-road. The bike features fully adjustable USD front forks and a rear shock absorber with load-dependent damping. Weighing in at just 175 kg (kerb weight), the F450 GS Concept boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio, enhancing its versatility.
As expected from BMW, the F450 GS comes loaded with advanced features, including lean-sensitive ABS, multiple configurable riding modes, and a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. BMW has announced plans to keep the production model as close to the concept as possible, making some practical adjustments like a more accessible seat height. Additionally, buyers will have the choice between cast aluminium wheels and the 19-17-inch cross-spoke wheel setup seen on the concept.
The production version of the F450 GS is set to debut next year, positioning BMW firmly in the mid-capacity adventure bike segment with this innovative and exciting offering.
