Ampere Electric has unveiled the Magnus Neo, a new iteration of its very popular Magnus electric scooter, at ₹79,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Ampere Electric has unveiled the Magnus Neo, a new iteration of its very popular Magnus electric scooter, at ₹79,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest variant in the Magnus lineup is an attempt to provide affordable and efficient electric transportation for city commuters. Here are the basic details about the Ampere Magnus Neo.
The Magnus Neo runs on a 2.3kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is known for its reliability and robustness. According to Ampere, this battery gives a practical range of 70-80 kilometers per single charge. This is slightly inferior to the Magnus EX variant, whose range is between 80-100 kilometers. However, the Neo makes up for this shortcoming with many other appealing attributes.
Top Speed: Magnus Neo has a top speed of 65 km/h. It is, therefore, the fastest variant of the Magnus series.
Charging Time: This scooter can be fully charged within 5-6 hours and thus gives minimum downtime to its users.
From a visual standpoint, the Magnus Neo is the same as its siblings but with a two-tone paint scheme. Its wheels are also bigger in size; the Neo has 12-inch wheels both at the front and rear, which makes it more stable and comfortable to ride on compared to the 10-inch wheels found on other models.
Ampere provides a 5-year/75,000 km warranty on the battery, which is quite impressive and gives peace of mind to buyers who are concerned about the battery's longevity and performance. This warranty shows the confidence of Ampere in its product quality and commitment to customer satisfaction.
The Magnus Neo retains many features from its predecessors, such as:
A simple yet functional digital dashboard that displays essential riding information.
A lightweight design that facilitates easy maneuverability in urban settings.
Five appealing colors: black, blue, red, white, and grey.
With a price of ₹79,999, Ampere Magnus Neo stands out as one of the affordable electric scooters available in India. With such competitive pricing, it has attracted budget-conscious consumers looking to shift to electric mobility without losing performance or features.
Magnus Neo competes with several established brands in the growing electric scooter market. Major competitors include:
Bajaj Chetak: Known for its retro looks and robust build.
Ather 450X: Offers state-of-the-art technological features, but at a higher price.
Ola S1: Offers excellent performance and range, but may be out of budget for some budget-conscious buyers.
The Magnus Neo is designed for urban commuters with emphasis on efficiency and user-friendliness. The scooter is affordably priced, performs satisfactorily, and has functional attributes that make it an excellent choice for new users of electric scooters and others who are looking for a reliable secondary mode of transportation.
In many parts of the world, cities face pollution and traffic congestion. The ever-increasing pollution and congestion have brought forth a fresh, eco-friendly option with the electric scooter, Ampere Magnus Neo. The primary reason people opt for electric scooters is to reduce carbon footprint at a relatively minimal operating cost.
The introduction of the Ampere Magnus Neo marks a critical success in Ampere Electric's efforts to provide affordable electric mobility solutions within India. Given its competitive pricing, robust performance character, and appealing design, it can directly engage urban commuters seeking an efficient alternative for their transportation needs.
