Discover the upgraded 2023 Hyundai Venue in Taiwan, featuring advanced ADAS technology, a stunning range of new colors, and six dynamic drive modes.

What's New in the 2023 Hyundai Venue for Taiwan: Advanced Safety Features, Striking Colors, and Multiple Drive Modes

Hyundai Venue, the popular sub-4m SUV from Hyundai, has expanded its colour range in Taiwan, introducing vibrant new shades that aim to set it apart from its rivals. Notably, two of these colours, Oxford Green and London Red, seem to be specifically tailored to bring a touch of British style to Taiwanese customers.

In a lineup that includes Grey Grey, Tiffany Blue, Jennifer Wong (Yellow), Super Circle Powder (Pink), and White Black, the addition of these classic British shades adds a distinctive flair.

To further emphasize the British style, Hyundai Taiwan has adorned the Venue with 3D Britain's coat of arms (flag) badging on the tailgate, creating an eye-catching feature that adds a unique touch. Inside the vehicle, the British coat of arms is debossed on the seats, which are crafted from a combination of leather and checkered wool fabric.

While the wool fabric's friction may generate triboelectric shocks, the classic British checkered pattern adds a sense of elegance. In the boot, a British-style storage box featuring the same checkered pattern enhances the overall aesthetic.

The Oxford Green variant boasts a glossy dark moss-green shade, complemented by a contrasting white roof, white inserts in the lower bumper, and white rear parking sensors, which add a touch of sophistication. However, it is worth noting that the black door handles and ORVMs could have been white, similar to the London Red variant.

Speaking of London Red, this shade showcases a vibrant and lustrous cherry red hue with contrasting white elements. The inspiration for this colourway comes from the iconic red telephone booths synonymous with London. Additionally, the Grey Grey variant features a base grey shade with contrasting red accents, presenting a unique and subjective preference.

While the Taiwan-spec Venue retains the pre-facelift design compared to the newer facelifted design available in India, it offers its own set of advantages. The Taiwan model incorporates Hyundai Smartsense ADAS tech, which is not found in the Indian model. However, it does lack the fully digital instrument screen found in the India-spec model and features the older steering wheel design.

In Taiwan, the Venue is equipped with a 1.6L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 120 bhp and 154 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-step IVT. Additionally, the Taiwan-spec Venue boasts 17" alloy wheels, one inch larger than the Indian version, and offers six different drive modes.

While the English-inspired shades introduced in Taiwan may not be a perfect fit for the India-spec Venue, particularly Oxford Green and Super Circle Powder, they undoubtedly add a touch of uniqueness and charm to the Taiwanese market.
