2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is on its edge to launch and soon we’ll be seeing it nailing the competition on road. However, it has a luxury pick-up structure which doesn’t have an actual competitor, we can compare it with a similar spec 5 seater vehicle. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift was showcased way back in 2019. This SUV pick-up has been spotted on Indian roads now with a Ddi badge that states the engine that has been used in it. The BS4 compliant engine that will be phased out with the BS6 engine is a 2.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 134PS of power with 32Nm of torque. The BS6 engine will have a lower cubic capacity with 1.9-litre and better power and torque that will fall at 150PS and 350Nm respectively. With no direct rivalry, Isuzu D-max V-Cross may compete with the 5 seater SUVs in the similar price bracket including Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and upcoming Honda HRV. While these SUVs are family carriers, Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is a proper offroader with 4x4 capabilities and a big loading bed for all your household luggage.Earlier, this pickup SUV was available with 2.5-litre and 1.9-litre engines with the later being automatic. WIth the limited scope of transforming the e2.5-litre unit as per BS6 standards, this vehicle will now be available only with 1.9-litre engine which may receive a manual transmission as well.
Being very capable and robust, the V-Cross is an excellent package for all your needs. Once launched in its 2021 avatar, it will have a plethora of luxurious and premium features on-board. Outside the SUV, you’ll get a massive grille upfront which will look aggressive. A similar aggression will be seen in the headlights that looks really mean. It will have smoked headlight units with projector headlamps. There is no confirmation on the type of inner assembly but we are expecting HID or LED setup there. These units will also have LED DRLS and the fog lamps will be housed below that. On the side, the vehicle will look massive and will rest on minimum 17 inch rims. It will carry a lot of semi gloss black inserts to show its aggression for off-road. At the rear, there will be clear glass tail lights placed in a slightly slant fashion. With a loading lip, putting up your luggage in the boot is an easy affair.Inside the car, you’ll get a plethora of premium bits. The seats will be covered in leather along with some parts of the gate and dashboard. You’ll get a touchscreen music system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The steering will have a rich texture and shape and will house in all the controls on the left and and right spoke. The rear seat leg space will be enormous though the underthigh support is still unknown. You won’t find any issues with the headroom anywhere in the vehicle and the airyness is ample. The only factor that would mind you buying V-Cross against the rivalries we mentioned would be a bit harder suspensions for families.Would you consider buying it against the best selling Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass, let us know in the comment section below
