MT 15 vs. Apache RTR 160 Comparison

Engine – Power and Handling
The strength of the MT 15 lies in its BS6-compliant Fi 155cc engine that comes with VVA technology to ensure good torque even at low RPM. The bike pairs with a 6-speed transmission system ably supported by ASC to provide low-stress shifting during deceleration. This system allows the bike to cruise along at low RPM, even in the higher gears.
Similarly, the TVS Apache RTR 160 draws its power from a BS6 race-tuned Fi engine that supports Glide-through technology that allows the vehicle to move effortlessly with the slow release of the clutch and no throttle operation. The rider is in full control with an adjustable split clip on the handlebars, adjustable brake pedal, and gear levers.
Safety Features
The Yamaha MT 15 features disc brakes, with the front wheel getting ABS to ensure better braking performance. In addition, the MT 15 has 140mm wide rear tyres to give you a better grip and confidence on the road. Other safety features include high-quality suspensions, shock absorbers, and an in-built side stand engine cut-off switch.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with disc brake and drum brake variants. In contrast, the TVS Apache RTR 160 comes in six colours and two variants (drum and disc). The Apache RTR 160 drum variant is priced at Rs 106,365, and the disc version comes at Rs 109,365.
Verdict
The TVS Apache RTR 160 is a powerful bike to drive on city roads and the racetrack. Similarly, the Yamaha MT 15 is also a sturdy bike to have standing on your porch. The choice is entirely yours. On the pricing front, the TVS Apache RTR 160 is considerably cheaper. However, the Yamaha MT 15 comes with better features.
