Ntorq 125 vs. Activa 125 Comparison
The scooter designs have improved considerably in the last decade, with manufacturers offering advanced technological features like Bluetooth connectivity, voice assist functions, and ride modes. The TVS Ntorq XP is India’s first 125cc that offers more than 10hp power. It is also one of the smartest scooters around. In contrast, the Honda Activa 125 is more the traditional scooter with a robust and balanced look that qualifies as an ideal scooter to run on Indian roads.

The Design
The Ntorq has an aerodynamic structure to ensure a comfortable and smooth riding experience. The Ntorq 125 comes with a decent wheelbase length of 1285mm and a ground clearance of 155mm. The kerb weight of 118kg makes it a lightweight scooter compared to the Honda Activa 125. The smart-looking headlights and the signature T rear lamps add to its attraction quotient. The sporty stubby muffler takes care of the engine noise to add to your convenience.
The Honda Activa 125 is more of a traditional scooter with conventional looks. The glamourous LED headlamp with a restyled lighting arrangement adds to the overall attraction quotient. The broad chrome chest and the chrome-plated emblem on the sides accentuate its appearance. The idling start/stop feature saves fuel by switching off the engine at traffic signals.
Engine – Performance and Handling
The Ntorq 125 features a 3-valve 125 CVTi-Revv engine to produce excellent power up to 9.25 bhp. The Ntorq XP variant produces more than 10hp power to deliver a racing-inspired performance. In addition, the scooter’s LCD offers critical info like speed, lap timer, trip meter, and eco-mode indicator. The Ntorq 125 can deliver a maximum speed of 95kmph and acceleration from 0 to 60 in 9 seconds.
The Honda Activa 125 runs on a 4S fan-cooled SI engine with a displacement capacity of 124cc. This engine produces a decent power performance of 6.10 kW and torque of 10.3 Nm. Furthermore, the Honda Activa 125 offers two starting options in the electronic self-start and the traditional kick start mode. In addition, it features an automatic clutch that makes it easy to control the scooter on busy Indian roads.
Safety Features and Technology
The Ntorq 125 comes with advanced technological features like a Bluetooth-connected speedometer, an exclusive rider’s app, auto-reply SMS, and other informative features. It also displays the phone battery and signal strength while providing navigational assistance. Personalised welcome messages, incoming calls, SMS alerts, and other driving stats complete the technological features. In addition, parking brakes complement the 220mm roto petal disc brakes to provide excellent safety.
One of the crucial safety features of the Honda Activa is the side-stand engine off function. It provides unnecessary accidents. The combi-brake technology enables a smooth braking experience. The 3-step rear suspension adds to the comfort while providing the ideal safety for the rider. The high-quality headlamp offers the best illumination to provide ample visibility.
Colour Variants and Pricing
The TVS Ntorq 125 comes in three exciting variants, Base, RE, and XP, each with exclusive features. The disc brake versions come in four colours, whereas the drum brake variants are available in two. The TVS Ntorq 125 is priced attractively between Rs 72,270 and Rs 84,025, depending on the variant.
The Honda Activa 125 offers four colour variations in blue, grey, red, and white metallic colours. Besides, you get three variants of the Honda Activa 125, drum, drum alloy, and disc. All these variants feature BSVI compliant engines. The Honda 125 pricing ranges between Rs 72,637 and Rs 79,760.
