Exterior Looks

The Kwid leaves a lasting impression on everyone’s mind with its renowned SUV look. The Kwid comes in a range of six single colours and two dual-tone options. In addition, the new stylish grille flanked on either side by powerful headlamps presents a beautiful sight.

The Renault logo stands out in full glory at the center, with the LED DRLs to accentuate its overall beauty quotient. In addition, the taillamps are placed high on the tailgate and look attractive while indicating their presence in trailing vehicles.

The Celerio has the unmistakable Maruti look with its front grille design and the elegant back door garnish. The Celerio differs from the Kwid because of its uniquely shaped headlamps. The fog lamps placed strategically at the bottom add to the overall illumination. The body-coloured bumpers and ORVMs with the turn indicators add to the vehicle’s exuberance. The vehicle has an impressive rear stance that gives it a muscular look.

Interiors and Comfort

Surprisingly, the Renault Kwid offers tremendous space for occupants to sit comfortably for a small and compact car. The sporty orange and white fabric seat upholstery with striped embossing look stunning. The plus point of the Renault Kwid is the 279L boot space available that can expand to 620L by folding the rear seats. In addition, the Kwid comes with a 20.32cm touchscreen mediaNAV evolution that enhances driving pleasure by providing the perfect navigational guidance. The Celerio comes with ample space in the rear as three people can comfortably sit in the rear seat. The upholstery matches with the interior trims and adds to the internal ambience. The black-coloured dashboard is a perfect contrast to the beige-coloured upholstery and interiors. The steering-mounted audio control features allow you to monitor the infotainment system’s controls. The integrated audio with Bluetooth technology is an excellent feature to enjoy your favourite music while on long drives.

Engine and Performance

The Renault Kwid is available in three primary variants, STD, RXT (O), and Climber (O), with the STD version running on a 0.8L SCe petrol engine. The other variants work on a comparatively powerful 1.0L SCe Easy R and SCe MT to deliver an excellent mileage performance of around 21kmpl. In addition, these engines work on a unique Smart Control Efficiency engine to ensure accurate air to fuel ratio monitoring resulting in optimised performance and fuel efficiency.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio runs on a 1L K-Series engine with Drive-by-wire technology resulting in higher fuel efficiency. This vehicle comes in three variants depending on the fuel consumed. The petrol and petrol-AGS versions offer a healthy mileage of 21.63kmpl, whereas the CNG variant delivers better performance at 30.47km/kg. The BS6-compliant engine pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission system. The Auto Gear Shift feature is available in the top-end variants that enable you to enjoy a clutch-free driving experience.

Ride, Handling, and Safety

The Renault Kwid ensures the safety of the driver and the front-seat co-passenger by offering the mandatory dual airbags. The seatbelt reminder feature ensures that the driver maintains perfect driving discipline. This vehicle comes with rear parking sensors to enable convenient reverse parking. The ABS and EBD features present in the braking system allow the vehicle to park smoothly and safely in adverse driving conditions.

Today, dual airbags for the driver and the front co-passenger have become mandatory. This feature is available in every variant. Besides, the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) allows better control over the vehicle when braking at high speeds. The seatbelt pretensioners and force limiters help the occupants during an impact. The Celerio is Pedestrian, Offset, and Side Impact Safety Compliant.

CarBike360 Says

The Renault Kwid is the ideal vehicle for those who wish to have an SUV-style appearance in a hatchback at the most reasonable pricing. The lowest-priced Kwid STD comes at Rs 3.32 lakhs, whereas the highest-priced variant, the Climber(O) Easy-R, comes at Rs 5.48 lakhs.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio oozes class from every angle. This Maruti hatchback is available in three primary variants, LXI, VXI, and ZXI, with petrol, petrol-AGS, and CNG fuel options. The lowest-priced Celerio comes at Rs 4.66 lakhs, whereas the top-end vehicle is available at Rs 6.00 lakhs.
