Renault has introduced a new model, Renault Kwid Neotech Edition, with better exteriors and technological features. The Neotech Edition is also available in three variants, with the lowest priced version starting at Rs 4.37 lakhs. The top-end variant is available at Rs 4.91 lakhs.
Exterior Looks
The Renault Kwid old version comes in six colours and has a compact presence on the road. The tall SUV-style looks make the vehicle stand apart from other hatchbacks in its segment. This vehicle comes with pronounced wheel arches with black skirting that extends over the sides to the bumpers. The ORVMs come in a contrasting colours to add to the attraction. In addition, the vehicle boasts of one of the highest ground clearance levels amongst hatchbacks.The Renault Kwid Neotech Edition is different from the old Kwid as it offers dual-tone options with the exterior body and roof combinations in Zanskar Blue and Moonlight Silver. Other factors that distinguish the Neotech Edition are its trendsetting 3D decals on the C-pillar, the stylish grille with chrome inserts, and the muscular multi-spoke wheels in volcano grey colour. Interiors and Comfort
Compared to other similar hatchbacks, the Renault Kwid offers more space for its occupants. The dual-tone interiors in black and orange colour look refreshing and luxurious at the same time. The driver seat is placed at an ideal height to give you a clear view of the road ahead. The Neotech edition is similar, but the interior colour theme looks pleasing with the black and blue combo. The technological features present in the Neotech edition are similar to that present in other versions. The floor console-mounted AMT dial with Chrome surround adds to the overall interior ambience. The LED digital instrument cluster and the 20.32cm touchscreen infotainment system are the same as other variants. Engine and Performance
The Renault Kwid delivers a power-packed performance with the help of Smart Control Efficiency engine technology for accurate air-to-fuel ratio monitoring. This vehicle runs on three variants of this engine. The STD version draws its power from the 0.8L engine, whereas the RXT and Climber variants run on the 1.0L SCe Easy R and SCe MT engines. The Neotech edition runs on the same engines as the old Kwid. The three variants of the Neotech Edition are STD, RXT, and Climber. These vehicles deliver excellent mileage for a hatchback in the range of 21 to 22 kmpl.
Ride, Handling, and Safety
One cannot expect the highest levels of safety on the Renault Kwid, but it offers dual airbags for front-seat passengers. The seatbelt reminder is an excellent feature as it introduces a sense of discipline in the driver.
