Brezza vs. Nexon Comparison

Compared to the Maruti Suzuki hatchbacks, the Brezza is different. It comes with a dominating appearance and offers tremendous interior space to qualify as an entry-level SUV.

The Tata Nexon introduces the next levels of safety in Indian cars with its super-strong structure. Besides, its bold looks make it one of the most desirable SUVs to have on your porch.

Exterior Looks

The Brezza is available in six enchanting single-tone and three dual colour options to add to the excitement factor. The Brezza gets its bold look from the front grille flanked on both sides by large headlamps with integrated dual-function LED DRLs. The fog lamps and the tail lamps add to the overall visibility, while the black skirting along the bottom extends throughout the vehicle to give it a sportier feel. The muscular body with black ORVMs and high ground clearance give the Brezza a dynamic stance.

The Tata Nexon is different from other SUVs as it features a box-breaking design combining the practicality of a compact SUV with the elegance of a sports coupe. The bold new LED DRLs placed strategically below the headlamps add to the vehicle’s imposing presence on the road. The piano-black ORVMs and the designer tail lamps make your head turn as the vehicle zooms past you on the roads. The electric sunroof is a distinguishing feature allowing you to bask in your mood.

Interiors and Comfort

Compared to other Maruti Suzuki vehicles, the Brezza offers more space in its boot, especially with the 60:40 foldable rear seating arrangement. The sliding front armrest is another comfortable feature. In addition, the Brezza offers an excellent cabin space with its steering wheel placed at a perfect height that allows for an imposing view of the road ahead. The premium dashboard with the infotainment cluster located at the centre adds to the overall elegance.

The Tata Nexon has an equally attractive interior décor with its layered three-tone finish that adds a touch of class. The light-grey interior trims match perfectly with the black upholstery and look soothing to the eyes. Besides, the high-quality AC features available in the Nexon make it one of the most comfortable SUVs in India in its segment. The digital instrument cluster and the grand central console are excellent convenience features. The top-end Tata Nexon comes with iRA connectivity technology, including What3Words, geofencing, remote vehicle control, intrusion alert, and Tribes app compatibility. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility allow seamless integration with your smartphones. Other features include a decent audio system to spruce up your entertainment quotient.

Engine and Performance

The Brezza functions on a 4-cylinder 1462cc K15B petrol engine capable of delivering 77kW power @ 6000rpm and 138Nm torque at 4400rpm. This engine pairs well with a 5-speed manual transmission system to deliver excellent mileage of 17.03kmpl. The Brezza also offers three automatic transmission system versions that offer better mileage performance of 18.76kmpl. The high-level suspensions and brakes ensure a quality driving performance, regardless of the road conditions.

In contrast, the Tata Nexon offers a diesel variant to go along with the standard petrol version. The 1.2L BS6 Turbocharged petrol Revotron engine delivers 88.2kW power, whereas the 1.5L Turbocharged diesel Revotorq motor produces 80.9kW to qualify as a sturdier vehicle than the Brezza. The 6-speed hyperdrive feature with self-shift gears ensures your feet get the deserved rest while driving for long distances. The Nexon offers three driving modes for the driver to choose from, depending on the situation.

Ride, Handling, and Safety

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza offers the driver and front-seat co-passenger protection by providing dual airbags at the front. Furthermore, the Suzuki TECT platform ensures to absorb the impact in the event of a crash. In addition, the Brezza comes with excellent braking features like ABS and EBD to ensure that the vehicle remains safe even when braking at high speeds in adverse driving conditions.

The Tata Nexon is a better vehicle on the safety front as it features an HSS structure to absorb impact energy and protects its passengers. Like the Brezza, the Nexon offers dual airbags for the driver and front-seat passengers. In addition, the Electronic Stability Platform is available as a standard offering on the Nexon. It includes Electronic Traction Control, Roll-over Mitigation, Emergency Brake Assist, and Hill Hold Control.

In addition, Isofix child seat anchorage ensures protection for your child. Other driver assistance features include reverse parking assist and rain-sensing wipers.
