The Bajaj CT 100 inherits a powerful engine from its predecessor vehicles to deliver superior mileage. The 102cc 4S single-cylinder electronic injection motorcycle engine delivers 7.9ps power @ 7500rpm and torque of 8.34Nm @ 5500rpm and can achieve a top speed of 90kmph. The engine pairs with a 4-step (all-down) transmission shift to make it comfortable for the rider.

The Hero Splendor comes equipped with a robust 97.2cc air-cooled 4S single-cylinder OHC engine with an advanced programmed FI system to deliver excellent mileage. This BS6-compliant engine delivers 5.9kW power @ 8000rpm and 8.05Nm torque @ 6000rpm to ensure high-quality performance. In addition, this bike offers electric start and kick start operations to add to your convenience.

Safety Features

The Bajaj CT 100 boasts a tubular single-down tube with a lower cradle frame to provide the best balance when negotiating sharp curves. The R17 41P front and R17 50P rear tyres ensure the perfect grip on the road, irrespective of driving conditions. The hydraulic telescopic front forks and SNS 100mm wheel travel rear suspension add to the overall safety and comfort. The front wheel gets a 130mm drum, and the rear wheel 110 drum brakes with CBS for a safe braking experience.

The tubular double cradle frame adds to the overall balance and safety of the Hero Splendor Plus. The front wheels get telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers, whereas the rear gets 5-step adjustable hydraulic suspensions to offer excellent support to the rider, regardless of road conditions. The bike offers a uniform 130mm drum braking system for both wheels. The R18 tubeless tyres come with anti-skid technology to provide high-quality safety.

The Bajaj CT 100 offers three exciting colour variants, with its pricing range starting from Rs 52,832.The Hero Splendor Plus offers five enchanting colour options with four dual-tone variants. The four variants of this bike come at prices starting from Rs 63,750. The top-end Splendor Plus, 100 million edition model, comes at Rs 69,060.

Verdict

The Hero Splendor is a more powerful bike than the Bajaj CT100, but the competition is intense otherwise. Pricing-wise, the CT100 is less expensive. Hence, the choice of the perfect vehicle depends on the individual.
