Tata Curvv EV: Tata Motors has been seen dedicatedly working on its upcoming Coupe SUV, Curvv for the past few years. However, the automaker is heading closer towards the launch of the homegrown SUV. The Tata Curvv will be available in both ICE and electric powertrains which the company has already showcased in various auto shows. Tata Motors already rules the Indian EV market with its existing offerings such as Tiago EV, Nexon EV, Punch EV and Tigor EV. After launching the Curvv EV,
Tata Motors will have an electric offering in every segment in India i.e. hatchback, Sedan, compact SUV and Coupe SUV. Tata Curvv EV will help the brand maintain its dominance in the Indian EV market. Taking note of the absence of any other Coupe electric car on Indian soil, it is expected that the Tata Curvv EV will prove a game-changer product for Tata Motors.
As mentioned above, Tata Motors has already revealed Curvv in a concept form on different occasions. Tata Motors has a track record of launching its offerings in near-to-concept designs. So it is expected that Curvv EV will also get a similar-looking design to the concept that the company revealed earlier.
Talking about the design highlights, the Tata Curvv EV will get a coupe-specific sloping roofline. Apart from this, it will come with LED DRLs, LED headlamps, LED taillights and a front-mounted charging port.
Tata Curvv EV will be an altogether different EV offering in India. On the feature front, the Curvv EV is expected to come with an advanced touchscreen infotainment system and there are also chances of the introduction of a fully digital instrumental console. Additionally, the Curvv EV is expected to offer top-notch safety features such as 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, an ISOFIX child seat, and a reverse parking sensor. Some rumours also suggest that the EV could feature Level 2 ADAS.
It is very clear now that Tata will position the Curvv EV above the Tata Nexon EV. It is expected that it will come with a larger battery pack than the Nexon’s 40.5 kWh battery. The Curvv will reportedly provide a maximum driving range of 500 km on a solitary charge. Apart from this, the Tata Curvv is expected to get up to 150 kWh DC charging, vehicle-to-vehicle charging and vehicle-to-other device charging features.
Tata Motors' upcoming Curvv EV appears poised to revolutionize the Indian electric vehicle market. With its anticipated blend of stylish design, advanced features, and impressive driving range, it's set to solidify Tata's dominance in the EV segment. As the only coupe electric car on Indian soil, the Curvv is positioned to be a game-changer, offering consumers a compelling option for sustainable, high-performance driving.
