However, it will just be facing competition from the Hyundai i20 N-Line as its the only performance hatch that's currently on sale in India. Both Tata Altroz Racer and Hyundai i20 N-Line come with turbocharged petrol engine. However, the i20 N-Line offers a 1 litre 4-cylinder engine with GDi (Gasoline Direct Injection) tech. Whereas the Altroz Racer gets a normal turbocharged 1.2 litre 3-cylinder engine.
On the transmission front, the i20 N-Line gets an option of a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 7 speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) Automatic. Whereas the Altroz Racer comes only with a 6 speed manual gearbox.
