Porsche has expanded its Taycan EV lineup with three new variants: the performance-focused Taycan GTS, the versatile GTS Sport Turismo, and the all-wheel-drive Taycan 4 sedan.
Porsche has unveiled three new variants of its popular Taycan electric vehicle lineup: the Taycan GTS, Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, and Taycan 4. These additions, coupled with design, technology, and equipment updates, further solidify Porsche’s standing in the electric performance car segment. With these models, the Taycan lineup now boasts a total of 16 variants, offering a wide range of choices based on performance, range, and body style.
The Taycan GTS variants, available as a sedan or Sport Turismo, represent a middle-ground option between the Taycan 4S and the Taycan Turbo. These models pack a 97kWh battery, delivering an impressive range of 628km (WLTP), a 120km improvement over previous models.
The GTS variants feature a new rear electric motor, offering up to 700bhp with Launch Control, a 102bhp increase over their predecessors. This results in remarkable acceleration, with the 0-100km/h sprint taking just 3.3 seconds, 0.4 seconds quicker than before. The 0-200km/h time is also reduced by 1.6 seconds to 10.4 seconds. The handling is enhanced by a GTS-specific suspension setup, while optional rear-wheel steering and an Active Ride system provide added agility.
Visually, the GTS models are distinguished by high-gloss black accents, unique front and rear aprons, and Anthracite Grey wheels (20-inch standard, 21-inch optional). Inside, the cabin adopts elements from the Taycan Turbo GT, including 18-way adjustable Race-Tex sports seats, a multifunction sports steering wheel, and a Bose surround sound system. A new “Electric Sport Sound” profile further elevates the driving experience.
Prices for the Taycan GTS sedan start at USD 149,895 (~₹1.27 crore), while the GTS Sport Turismo begins at USD 151,795 (~₹1.28 crore).
For the first time, Porsche has introduced an all-wheel-drive option for the entry-level Taycan sedan, dubbed the Taycan 4. This variant comes with two battery options: the Performance Battery, which produces 402bhp with a range of 559km (WLTP), and the Performance Plus Battery, which boosts output to 429bhp and increases range to 643km (WLTP).
The Taycan 4 accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds, 0.1 seconds quicker than the rear-wheel-drive model. Efficiency is improved with an electrically decoupling front motor that disconnects when traction permits. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Pricing starts at USD 105,295 (~₹88.87 lakh), making it USD 4,000 (~₹3.38 lakh) more than the rear-wheel-drive version.
The new Taycan models benefit from the updates introduced in Porsche's 2025 Taycan refresh. These updates include a new rear-axle motor delivering up to 107bhp more than before, along with improved thermal management and recuperation systems. Charging speeds have also been enhanced, with 800-volt DC charging stations supporting up to 320kW, and recuperation during deceleration recovering up to 400kW.
All Taycan models now come with the latest Porsche Driver Experience system, additional standard features, and new exterior colour options such as Slate Grey Neo, Pale Blue Metallic, and Purple Sky Metallic. These updates ensure that the Taycan lineup remains at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation.
