The upcoming Nissan Magnite facelift has been partially leaked, providing a sneak peek into its refreshed design. Despite multiple spy sightings during testing, the SUV's official unveiling is expected in the coming months.
Initially, the Magnite facelift will be exported, with its launch in India slated for later.
Limited Cosmetic Changes
The facelift primarily focuses on cosmetic enhancements, including re-profiled bumpers, updated headlamp and grille assembly, revised LED signatures, and new alloy wheels. Interior updates will be minimal, featuring new trim pieces and additional features while retaining the existing dashboard layout.
Production and Rollout Strategy
The facelifted Magnite will be produced in both left-hand-drive (LHD) and right-hand-drive (RHD) configurations, marking its debut in multiple LHD markets.
In the Indian market entry is scheduled for late 2024 or early 2025.
No Changes in Powertrain
The facelift retains the current 1.0-litre petrol engines, offering 72hp and 96 Nm in naturally aspirated form and 100hp and 160 Nm in turbocharged guise. It continues with the existing 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
Upon release, the updated Magnite will remain competitively priced, positioning itself against rivals like the Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Punch, and Hyundai Exter in the highly competitive SUV segment in India.
