Maruti Suzuki Swift is going to be a real upgrade over the third generation upgrade of the Swift hatchback. The 2024 Swift comes with a highly upgraded grille and LED headlamps which now come paired with LED DRLs on the hatchback.
Another noticeable is the new position of the Suzuki logo which is now placed at the top of the bonnet.. Talking about the side profile, the hatchback now gets a new set of alloy wheels and blacked-out ORVMs, roof rail and pillars.
New additions at the rear include a new tailgate, skid plate and a new bumper. Apart from this, the global variant of the hatchback features an attached spoiler with a brake-sensing stop-light. In addition to this, the new Swift gets new C-shaped DRLs and LED tail lights.
The new 2024 Swift also gets some major feature additions similar to Fronx and Baleno. The new hatchback gets a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. The carmaker has also given a special emphasis on safety this time by providing features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ESP, brake assist, and hill hold assist. The global variant also gets ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist. However, Maruti Suzuki has not yet made clear if the India spec Swift will receive these ADAS features or not.
The new Swift features a Z series 1.2 litres, three-cylinder petrol engine which generates a maximum power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 108 Nm which comes mated to a CVT transmission. There’s also a mild hybrid variant on offer this time. Remember that the engine and variant information mentioned above is for the Japanese spec variant as the company is tight-lipped on related details of the India spec variant.
