The Indian audience was quick to embrace its distinctive features and capabilities, leading to an overwhelming response. The Urus soon proved to be a game-changer for Lamborghini in the Indian market.
Unmatched Power and Performance
One of the primary reasons for the Urus's appeal lies under the hood – a robust 4.0-litre 3996 cc Twin Turbo V8 engine, unleashing a blistering 657.10 bhp at 6000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque at 2250-4500 rpm.
Equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system, the Urus exhibits agile performance and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 305 km/h, solidifying its position as the world's fastest SUV.
Striking Design Fusion
The Urus captivates onlookers with its striking design, artfully combining the aggressive and aerodynamic Lamborghini aesthetic with the practicality of an SUV. Its front fascia boasts a hexagonal grille, Y-shaped LED headlights, and generous air intakes, while the side profile showcases a sloping roofline, muscular wheel arches, and sharp creases.
At the rear, a spoiler, diffuser, and quad exhaust pipes accentuate the SUV's sporty allure. Moreover, the Urus's high ground clearance of 248 mm enhances its ability to conquer diverse Indian terrains.

The cabin exudes modernity, featuring dual touchscreen displays in the centre console, a digital driver's display, ambient lighting, powered front seats with ventilation and massage functions, and rear seat displays.
With a boot space of 616 litres, expandable to 1596 litres with the rear seats folded, the Urus offers ample practicality for both urban and adventurous pursuits.
The Urus goes beyond just luxury and performance, incorporating advanced technologies to enhance safety and driving dynamics. With up to eight airbags, electronic stability control (ECS), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), adaptive air suspension, active roll stabilization, carbon ceramic brakes, and four-wheel steering, the Urus ensures a secure and thrilling ride.
Variant Offerings: S and Performante
The Lamborghini Urus is available in two variants in India: S and Performante.
Both variants share the same engine, a 4.0 litre 3996 cc Twin Turbo V8 that produces 657.10 bhp at 6000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque at 2250-4500 rpm. However, they differ in terms of styling, features, and performance.
The S variant was launched in April 2023 at Rs 4.18 crore (ex-showroom). It gets slight styling updates to the bonnet, bumper, grille and alloys. It also gets a new colour option called Blu Astraeus, which is a metallic blue shade.
The S variant retains the same features and technologies as the Performante variant, such as the dual touchscreen displays, the adaptive air suspension, the carbon ceramic brakes, and the four-wheel steering.
The Performante variant was launched in September 2020 at Rs 4.22 crore (ex-showroom). It gets a more aggressive body kit, larger wheels, and sportier seats. It also gets a new colour option called Verde Mantis, which is a bright green shade.
The Performante variant has a slightly higher power output of 661.10 bhp at 6000 rpm and 860 Nm of torque at 2250-4500 rpm. It also has a faster acceleration time of 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a higher top speed of 310 km/h.
Both variants can be customized with various options and accessories from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, which allows customers to personalize their Urus according to their preferences and tastes. Some of the options include different exterior colours, interior trims, wheels, brake callipers, stitching, logos, and sound systems.
The Urus S and Performante variants offer different levels of performance and style for customers who want to experience the thrill of driving a Lamborghini SUV. Which one would you choose?
