The Kia Seltos is one of the most popular compact SUVs in India, offering a stylish design, a spacious cabin, and a range of advanced features. The Seltos was launched in 2019 and received a facelift in 2023, with some cosmetic updates and new additions to its equipment list.
The Seltos is available in three broad variants: Tech (HT) Line, GT Line and X-Line. The Tech Line is further classified into HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+ trims, whereas the GT Line and X-Line are single fully loaded variants.

The top model of the Kia Seltos is the X-Line Diesel AT, which comes at a price tag of Rs. 20 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This variant is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 116PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The X-Line Diesel AT offers a mileage of 19.1 kmpl.
The X-Line variant is the most premium and distinctive offering in the Seltos lineup, featuring some exclusive elements that set it apart from the rest.

The base model of the Kia Seltos is the HTE variant, which comes at a price tag of Rs. 10.90 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This model is driven by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission that generates 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. The HTE version provides 17 kilometres per gallon of mileage.

The difference between the top model and the base model of the Kia Seltos is quite significant, both in terms of price and features. The top model offers a lot more value for money, as it comes with many premium and exclusive features that enhance the performance, comfort, convenience, safety, and style of the SUV.
The base model, on the other hand, offers only the basic features that are necessary for a decent driving experience.
The choice between the top model and the base model depends on the budget and preferences of the buyer. If one is looking for a feature-rich and distinctive SUV that offers a high level of safety and technology, then the top model is worth considering. However, if one is looking for an affordable and practical SUV that offers decent performance and mileage, then the base model can be a good option.
