The eagerly anticipated BYD Seal is set to make its mark on the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market as bookings officially open. Scheduled for launch on March 5, the EV can now be reserved for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh, with deliveries expected to commence in April 2024.

In a bid to serve diverse consumer preferences, the BYD Seal will be available with two battery pack options in the Indian market: 61.4 kWh and 82.5 kWh. Offering further flexibility, customers can choose between rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive setups, ensuring a personalized driving experience. The WLTP-claimed range stands at an impressive 570 km, providing ample mileage for electric enthusiasts.

The BYD Seal, designed for the Indian electric vehicle market, features compact exterior dimensions, measuring 4800 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1460 mm in height. To further enhance convenience, it incorporates fast charging capabilities, supporting DC fast charging of up to 150 kW. Notably, the 30% to 80% charge can be achieved in a swift 26 minutes, underscoring the Seal's commitment to reducing downtime and providing an efficient charging experience for its users.
